Thanks for the instructions. I have the same question - how do check if the cron is running correctly - i.e. running every 10 minutes in the above example?

I use the streamTv plugin. This plugin has a XML file where all the streaming urls are defined, I.e. rtmp://.... Etc. then the plugin allows you to select a stream to play.
