Ill give it a try if I still have problems. I have actually downloaded that mgcam package before but I decided to go with the one with VIX on the end because I thought it was probably better optimized for VIX. Anyway ill install it sometime if I still get freezes.

I Addred My line where the cws part is. On the CWS multiple do I need to put my line somewhere in there too?

mgcamd 1.38. ive also tried one downloaded called enigma2-plugin-cams-Mgcamd_1.38-ViX.ipk and I also tried 1.35a on blackhole. Currently im using 1.38 just standard one I think. With VIX 3.0 600build. Its s N: line im using.

My setup at the moment is currently the most stable its been for ages. Just I do get problems every so often as mentioned before. The error messages in the log posted were from last night.

I have a VU+ DUO with mgcamd configured. When I first got my box I had all sorts of problems with picture freezes at times (certain channels much more than others). And recording messing up etc. I was using CCcam back then. I switched to mgcamd and I was still getting problems although they seemed a bit better. After copying some of the mg_cfg files I have seen people post on here my VU lately has seemed much better. I can go hours without problems now and even when I do get problems its nowhere near as bad as before.

The problems I do still get though are where the Cam seems to go to sleep. Especially after watching a normal channel like ITV. I will switch back another channel which uses the softcam and it will be a black screen. Sometimes I will come on after a short delay and sometimes I have to restart the cam. Sometimes I even have to restart the box. I took a log and ill paste that below along with my current mg_cfg file.

Help and advice would be appreciated. I have considered internet connection and dish signal but now im convinced its something to do with my cam config.

    F [mg0] network can't decode
[mg0] pid 0x0505 failed to decode.
    ECM: -- Mon Feb 11 15:19:02 2013
[newcamd] Connection to (*my provider) failed (30ms)

Above is some example error messages my log file shows during times the cam is playing up. I have edited the (*my provider) part instead of showing the full address.

I had it the other day where I was watching something on ITV and had a recording on a cam channel. The recording didnt start and the channel was blank when I went onto it. I had to restart the cam for it to show. This obviously messed up the begining of my recording.

    Below if my mg_cfg file.

P.S I recently tried using a mg_cfg copied from my friends box that he has running fine. My cam wouldnt work at all with it. Just black screen on the channels which I found strange.

Hopefully someone can help with this problem.
