The Openbox's are very much a hobbyist reciever, and my s10 is very poorly put together. But (touch wood) i've had no problems so far. My protek9700 is a far better made box and almost plug&play, but only has newcamd C/s capabilites
I suggest that you do a factory reset on your S10 and reload the lastest firmware (310711) which seems stable and apart from a little glitch after changing channels is fine picture/sound wise.
The s10 is a good box, but probably not the best.

Anyone got a latest file, i loaded up one file which worked on TV Globo (13e) then changed to different file and like a idiot didn't keep the original file

hi guys,im having bad problems with my openbox/slybox s10,it does,nt open my diablo2 cam with the latest ipnosys 035 file,but the diablo2 works perfect in my tm6800hd,and when i tried the softcam (the last 2) the box says (no file found) has ANYONE got a firmware and softcam that actually works together,ive even tried todays softcam and same result (no file found).
Latest firmware works with the latest Softcam.key, make sure the key file you want is correctly and it should upload.

Just so i understand....ive just bought a openbox s10, ive put that latest firmware on the box... to decrypt the pay channels from any satellite i chose...i just have to upload the latest softcam key by usb? See this seems to easy...so im pretty sure im wrong...could someone help me out or point me in the right direction? Thanks
Softcam will open some channels, if you want more then check out the tutorials on this forum and do a bit of reading.

I'm not saying ignore anything, im saying look for reviews before you flash as over the past few weeks there seems to be "new" software out everyday but its not new its old software being released again... Im saying be careful!

so are we saying that we should ignore FW from yojiatech, even though they manufacter the boxes?.
I upgraded my S10 with th s*ybox image from there and had no problems, as i haven't yet from this image which seems to be the same, barring a different background screen.
S10 firmware here. from 21/06/11, but has openbox splash screen, rather than s*kbox

Can someone explain this for me load S\W from 23.06or 27.06 softcam works ok also i'm looking for the latest s*y channel lists and bouquets.

software for this box regularly changes and the sw dated 23 or 27.06 is the current most stable and supports softcam. als if you are after channel list look in the 'Openbox Tools & Channel lists' section of this forum.
Loaded and testing as i type...
First impressions.
1.***box SW, so new background image.
2.More Favourite Lists (32)
3. pressing OK on a channel now comes up with a channel list of 30 channels, and you can add favourites.
issues.
1.Still seems to OOS issues on HD channels
2. Antenna, Transponder, Single and Multiple Scan options greyed out in installation menu after reloading my settings, even though my sats where in the Satellite list. Added a new sat, and up they popped. so removed all sats, rebooted and entered again to fix
3. restoring settings to box does not seems to include network settings, so need to re-enter those settings and DHCP dont work.
