Well, I'm still no further on here lads, tried everything suggested, tried the line in another box works fine so deffo not that, tried using the web server to do the config, no dice... just for the record, within the HDMU plugins section, I have the choice to install 5 oscam plugs:

    oscam 10615 (7.00)
    OSCam Build 10615 DVBAPI WEBIF

    oscam10615libusb (7.00)
OSCam Build 10615 DVBAPI WEBIF LIBUSB

    oscam6666 (6.00)
    OSCam Build 6666 DVBAPI WEBIF

    oscam7888 (7.00)
    OSCam Build 7888 DVBAPI WEBIF

Which is the best one any why?

    Thanks guys!

Also I logged into the WIF and it all seemed OK... I tried deleting everything in the server file except my reader but still no joy.

I'm giving up for now until someone more knowledgable helps!

Thanks guys, time for a red stripe!

Ah, our posts crossed! Yes I literally just tried that, then resterted OSCAM to no avail...

I think I'm going to just give up with this box & sell the piece of shite, I wish I'd never bought it in the first place... the amount of time I've spent arseing about with it would have earned me enough to buy a Vu Plus, configure it fully in half an hour and give them that!

Anyway, I might come back to it, I know the technical guy at Icecrypt, I'll call him & see if he has a better image I can use...

    Thanks all!

Great support fellers many thanks! I booted into spark yesterday & updated to latest version... quite right what you say about it being same as an Alien 2, basically the same box outta the same factory just rebadged.

I went into the plugins and got the line connected and working, so worst ways I'll give the box back but working in Spark only. I will keep at it as the EPG and so on in E2 is much better, although I heard the crossEPG in Spark had been updated since I last looked at it so that might do it.

I will try your suggestions & get back to the forum with results, it night help someone else!

    Thanks lads, regards, Steve.

Gents I've messed about with this for hours and still can't get a result... here's what I did:

    Fresh install of HDMU

Scanned satellites (28.2) on both tuners, installed picons, autobouguets, software control all working fine.

FTP'd the OSCAM .ipk you posted above to /tmp

Using the remote, plugins>software centre>software manager>install local extension

    Installed OK, no errors.

Used the converter to get the details from the c: line.

Copied details, used filezilla to edit oscam.server. Added the server details at the very bottom of the file leaving all else intact.

Saved file back to server, restarted box.

Went into HDMU center>softcam control> started softcam.

So that's where I'm at and still no channels clearing & no ecm info.

I must be doing something wrong, when editing the oscam.server do I just add my details to the end? Or wipeout what's in there and replace with mine?

Also do I need to change any other files?

Can anyone see anything wrong with any of that? Many thanks for your help!

I flogged this box to a mate about 6 months ago.. line stopped working for reasons unknown, asked me to look at the box & try to resolve... reflashed with latest HDMU, rescanned satellite (28.2) on both satellite tuners, all fine, autobouquets working fine, picons, EPG all fine...

No matter what I try I cannot get the C line login to work, driving me mental.

So, can I ask the following:

First off, what is the best softcam to use and where can I get it?
Secondly, can I ftp a CCcam.cfg file to a particular location, restart & all is well? (please name location)
If not, if it's oscam, what version to install, where do I get it from, where are the files for me to adjust (put my line in)

I have spent 2 days on various forums, looked at loads of threads... personally I have a Vu Plus Solo2 with OpenPLI and it all works great took me about half an hour from flashing to get it 100%... this on the other hand is really, REALLY pissing me off!

Hopefully someone can save my sanity!

    Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I'm running latest Black Hole image (2.0.6 as of now) on a Vu Plus Duo. I'm using CCCam 2.1.4 as my softcam client. I was watching the TV fine last night when suddenly lost picture. Upon investigation I couldn't see anything wrong with settings.

I know all my C Line details and wondered if there was an app (prefereably Android, but Windows or iOS is OK) to connect to the server and see if it's online.

You know like there are server status checks you can do? I thought I might be able to look at the ECM info remotely from an app I installed on my Nexus 7 but so far no joy.

Any one done anything like this? Thanks all...

After owning this box for around 6 months I have the following to say... If you accept the fact that you are buying a cheaper box than other boxes that can do the same thing and are willing to spend some time configuring it, it's generally OK... I get a few crashes from plugins and certain times it can be a little slow.

If I had £170 to buy one of these now having learned what I have learned... I'd put that towards a Vu Plus box...

So, VuPlus Duo with latest Black hole image, Tuner A Astra 2, Tuner B A/B diseqc switch with Astra2 & Hotbird.

Tuner config is correct, tried to scan Tuner B set to correct Diseqc settings, no joy.

When automatic scan is initiated, it finds hotbird & locks with good signal & BER but the box cannot see hotbird for a scan.

    Any ideas? Cheers all.

I have no idea why, but top right of the screen I have the word "stopped" on constant display. I assumed it was recording or playback related... not so... I have tried several things to no avail... I have only installed a couple of additional plugins, I thought maybe it was a paramater with a plugin, like maybe when something is active it says active or stopped for the opposite.

    Any ideas?

I've got Cool TV Guide 5.6.2 installed on an ICECRYPT S3700. I use the crossEPG downloader which downloads all the data... it looks like it's working fine, I restart the receiver (I've tried just restarting Enigma, then thr whole box, then off at mains).

None of these populate the EPG fully.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Many thanks...

Hello mate, I'm running an image preinstalled with Flip Flops 28.2e channel list & with the coolTVguide cross EPG plugin. It's about the best I can get for this box, although it does have some stupid bugs, like if you are in some menus, if you press exit on the remote it won't exit, you have to press Red & vice versa.

I've got a customer (I'm an installer) who wants a box to replace his sly sub for a box with CS, but this box is not for dummies...

Plus the external 500GB Samsung drive I have connected worked fine yesterday, today it won't mount for no apparent reason... it can see it's there but I can't read from it or write to it.

To be honest, this box is a pain in the arse... I'm thinking of chopping it in for a Dreambox D800 SE which is more expensive but the HDMU firmware is written and tested on it... I get crashes on the 3700 from time to time with stupid things and it drives me up the wall as it takes a couple of minutes to reboot.

If you look within this forum, the 3700 has the least support out of any linux dual boot boxes. I'm about to use dreamboxedit to install Rat's bouquet plugin as it auto updates whenever an update is available... hopefully that'll solve some problems... I'll post back if I get on OK!

Here's the 2 files you need to flash the box on my mega.nz account:

    https://mega.co.nz/#!q5pk0RSQ!…vhumw_Zr0gkB1pqkBoYXBxT_M

    https://mega.co.nz/#!jggHkQJC!…aW6RkVD9sJCO9mJuxTMvcnsNQ

    Speak soon...

I tried downloading the latest HDMU image, then extracting the full folder hierarchy from the image but I can't find an application to do it (on Windows 7)... tried 7zip & winimage so far... any ideas?

Hi all, I FTP'd the files over to the correct folders, restarted enigma but still same Christmas images there, so rebooted box, same thing again... what am I doing wrong? Thanks all.

After hours and hours of searching this forum & many others, I have settled on an HDMU image with the FlipFlop 7 day EPG.

Recording seems to work OK on both tuners but the EPG seems really clunky.

What I'm trying to achieve is a direct replacement of a $ly Plus HD box with series link, all the good stuff, to work as easily as possible.

I did see a post that showed an EPG working nicely with some screen shots but now cannot find the post... any recommendations on a plugin or EPG configuration method to get a 7 day constantly updated EPG on screen as similar to sly as possible?

    I'm close, but no cigar!

    Many thanks....
