mate noticed something really stupid on these sh4 images
does any1 else know this anomaly with this reciever, TESTED IT ON SPARK FIRMWARE ALSO same issue
I'm having the issue when using xmltvimport on certain transponders with TID NID. This is the problem:-

I have a transponder Fashion TV HD............ OK Lyngsat it has values :- noticed (NID TID = 205-205 here)

    3794 H
tp C5H FTV HD Asia DVB-S2
    MPEG-4/HD 4640-3/5
    8PSK
    1 - 2001 205-205
    3001 C
    5.5 T Kameda
    Albert I

BUT, however in lamedb the scan comes up as and this is converted already to xmltvimport format from lamedb source file from /etc/enigma2

    <channel id="">1:0:1:0001:0001:0001:03ee0ed2:0:0:0:</channel> <!-- FashionTV HD -->

notice the NID and TID values here are 0001:0001 <-------------- not correct

here is pasted from lamedb itself :-

    0001:03ee0ed2:0001:0001:1:0
    FashionTV HD
    p:Satlink

any Mods know why it does this ??? and can it be corrected so I can import EPG correctly.
worst thing about this problem is there are many incorrect NID TID channels and all conflict with the import

I've had massive luck with the softcam keys on all the softcam key emu's and I was joyed to get them to work both in Spark O/S and Enigma2. I have learnt ! some work, some don't and despite people helping on the net
they never seem to give the straight out easy explanations on getting things to work. All emu's are also different in one or 2 little tweak ways. Apparently one is supposed to be better than the other due to minor differences but sometimes
you just don't get a choice because one works and the other doesn't. Softcams are good as long as you know the key file name exactly.

highkick05 agree with most you have said,
as for useable image sorry no, slow, no never had a slow image that i want to use its how you set it up
even the mighty vix has had problems with there images of late

so now even they are taking credit for rubbish i would say sloppy work? seems they're getting used to it these people

oh and spark at least its full proof and works 100%

channel sorting crap agree and agree with all you have said. but if the channel list doesn't open straight away what's the point (like enigma2 terrestrial side)!
you could be waiting years for the signal meter to popup on the infobar as well ---> something that should be weeded out of all spark7162 enigma2 image skins
too much information in the infobar and channel list being computed before displaying .. if it takes that long simply shove it in the secondinfobar most of that crap is used for
satellite transponders anyway which has moderately faster response time in enigma2 I don't need it on my Terrestrial side _!_

which leads me to thinking spark 7162 needs its own skinning done on the enigma2 side. I started making a skin based on HDMU default skin a while ago but gave up because when doing secondinfobar I could not get it to
read the signal strength and quality fast enough and i tried reading the info from 2 different python .pyo files for it aswell. its
pretty easy to code the skins really. you just open the .pyo file with a typical text editor and it has all the data references for the python script functions in there. and there's .pyo's for everything in /usr/lib/enigma2/Extensions blahdy blah

ie, PID, SID, PliExtraInfo.pyo .. you just find the right data and it gets displayed , got the channel list xpicons working through some .pyo file .. quite easy it was I just don't have time or a laptop anymore (wife dropped it)

so with saying this.. it would be quite easy to code a skin that's purpose made to suit spark 7162.. works 100% of the time on all images and doesn't hog resources, and perhaps could be used as a template for other 7162 skins

sorry my friend but just frustrated with it. seems not worth the effort. and it does take time to
try and get this to work. maybe I will just keep contributing to martinxp's version.
atleast he has brains , best image yet. and ther's only been 2 versions :78:

Your rant is in vain, you do realise the first new Spark 2 receivers are now available and run Spark 2 in Android on Arm hardware (no more SH4). Android is rock solid stable on Arm, Android will eventually take over completely from Enigma as it's in constant development and has support and a huge mount of developers onboard. This first Spark 2 receivers won't be great, but wait till they release multi tuners and the community see Android as a better and more open option to Enigma, so many apps already available for it including XBMC.

Thanks for referring to my post as a rant ! But I was being serious and no I never realised there was new Spark 2 receivers on the market. I've only been using the one I have.

The next best thing would be to buy something else! I guess as enigma2 on a Spark 1 box was never ever going to be any good.

Is it possible this is an argument for getting a refund ?? OFCOURSE NOT :16_002:
The only reason they put this Enigma2 side with the Spark 7162 was to obviously sell there product and is misleading and fraudulent. Pretty easy to give dual boot and a small piece of memory for some enigma2 OS which is never going to run anyway.
    What a fucking joke.

Wish I had have known this receiver was an absolute waste of time when I purchased it I could have gotten a VU+solo2 for $100 more and baught a DVB-T usb stick to plug into it.

SOOOO **** RIPPED OFF BY AMIKO. MATE I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM GET ENIGMA2 RUNNING ON THIS THING. PERHAPS THEY WOULD HAVE THEIR OWN ENIGMA2 IMAGE IF THEY COULD
    WHAT A CON ARTIST

PERHAPS THE BRAINIACS AT WHO PROGRAM ENIGMA2 SHOULD CREATE A :-
ENIGMA2 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS SPECIFICATION SO THAT IT COULD BE USED AS A REFERENCE SO THAT INNOCENT PEOPLE LIK ME DON'T GET ROBBED

and the reason I bought this pile of rubbish WAS because it had enigma2
    ALSO
I would love to know who originally ported ENIGMA2 to the SH4 PROCESSOR BECAUSE IT WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME IN THE FIRST PLACE

Thanks for the reply ! Don't completely fathom or understand what this gibberish is really!

In the entire time the Alien 2 has existed, WHICH IS a long time dude , none of them have come close to delivering a usable Enigma2 O/S.
THE PROBLEM is people like you that don't expect a finished product. INSTEAD you give credit where credit ISN'T DUE. The images are BUGGY, SLOW TO THE POINT OF BEING UNRESPONSIVE AT ALL, and not wirth the bit of memory they are being flashed to !

For Enigma2 to be a worthy platform for spark7162 it needs its own cult developers, maintaining the code and improving it regularly, AND ALSO USING IT ! wow cos who knew that to actually see if code works you need to use the box !
What is the point to having NIGHTLY BUILDS if the product remains Alpha or BETA. Is there ever a finished product ????
NOOOOOOOO Alien 2 Spark O/S absolutely kills these enigma2 losers releases... by a 100 miles.

I'm not a coder man I have in depth linux programming knowledge but I would never attribute my time to this because I don't have the time. But if I did you could bet I wouldn't serve up this absolute rubbish
The problem with HDMU and the like is they want their Enigma2 builds on EVERY SINGLE SET TOP BOX and don't concentrate on ONE PARTICULAR BOX like VU+ GETS SUPPORT FOR martinxp has made his own and its probably the best because he has
concentrated on what works with the SPARK 7162 side, not compiled some new rubbish into the spark7162 image that doesn't work cross-set-top-box like these idiots do at HDMU , PKTEAM ETC

HAHA And you know what makes me laugh is using these skins plugiins on HDMU. Is the fact that on every release .. not one single improvement on the speed and they're the main interface.
You can go back to flashing one 10 releases later and its still the same. YEAH HATS OFF ENIGMA2 DEVELOPERS MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS, WE CAN USE THE DEFAULT HDMU SKIN EVERY TIME OR ONE THAT SLOWS THE BOX DOWN AWESOME GUYS ! AWESOME
THATS WHY WE WANT HDMU !! THERE DEFAULT SKIN AND NO BLIND SCAN OPTION awesome choice !!

[quote='givecredit','https://linuxsat-support.com/index.php?thread/&postID=218439#post218439']This is an update to the openATV image I posted last week. It includes all the fixes that were added this week. It has most of the basics covered. That is everything I included in last image. I received a few PMs requesting some additional functions to be added and setup. This is included in this latest image. You just need to add your own oscam config settings to var/keys.

additional functions to be added? ????
HAVE YOU COMPLETELY LOST YOUR MIND !!? HAVE YOU USED IT RECENTLY ON A SPARK BOX OR YOU JUST UPLOAD THESE THINGS W/OUT EVEN TESTING THEM ??

THE WHOLE IMAGE IS BUGGED TO ****. SOFT EFFORT. TRIED IT NO THANKS

Can someone let me know when there is actually a group of coders who develop, maintain and USE the SPARK7162 (AMIKO ALIEN 2) ENIGMA2 side consistently on an everyday basis !

I am !@#!@$ fed up with flashing these @!$#@$ train wrecks.. I'm surprised my amiko aliens enigma2 side still works actually.. that's how many times I've flashed these !@#$ disgraces to enigma.
WAIT ! I actually lost my first usb stick to flashing these images over and over. That's right ! doesn't work anymore ! Glad the box still goes though COFF SPLUTTER SNEEZE!

Just reply to this post. I will then be happy might even donate some money

Pathetic image slow as a retarded retard. All the skins included basically don't function at all. In some the TV picture disappears completely on reboot of the skin. Who uses these images seriously ? I imagine people called "Satellite TV Men" who think that these images are quite GOOD when infact they are complete crapppppppppppppo ! Don't use them !! These people need to spend more time actually USING SPARK 7162 instead of just checking whether certain things run every now and then. These images are an absolute disgrace .. sorry being nice

HDMU is the best functioning spark 7162 image yet. I would say its the only one closest to actually being functional! But its latest images still need so much work its not funny, after 30 minutes or so the remote doesn't even function anymore and you can't even get up a channel list its just completely unresponsive (REBOOT).

Which supports my opinion/theory that THESE PROGRAMMERS SOMPILING THESE IMAGES SPEND ZERO TIME USING THE IMAGES ! !! SO WHY SHOULD WE USE THERE BUGGY CRAP

When will these people learn that spark 7162 needs its OWN ENIGMA 2 Development not some 3rd party compiled from existing pli crap ported over to suit the 7162 sh4 processor !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS ALL CRAPPO

HDMU, PKTEAM, OPENATV, OPENPLI have all FAILED in my opinion to make anything near a solid linux system to suit the spark 7162.

Great that they all support Amiko Alien 2 spark 7162 but none of them function any way near perfect and all have plugins that are ALSO PORTED from existing enigma2 distributions !!!!!!!!!!!!!
How will they ever get the processing power to run any of this crap. The skins need to be rebuilt or simply BUILT from scratch.. PLUGINS also. What a waste of time

SOMEBODY OUT THERE BUILD A PURPOSE MADE ENIGMA2 OS FOR THE SPARK 7162 PLEASE !! sick of running these pieces of crap

EDIT: OHHHHHHHHH AND IF SPARK O/S SOURCE IS NOT MADE PUBLIC VERY SOON EXPECT THAT NOBODY WILL BE BUYING THESE PIECES OF CRAP AMIKO ALIENS BCOS VU+SOLO2 IS WAY BETTER AND WORTH PAYING $100 MORE FOR !!!!!!!!!!
WHY CANT THEY MAKE THE SPARK O/S SOURCE OPEN SOURCE AND HAVE DEVELOPERS CUSTOMISE THE FONT END !!!!!!!! EVERY1 WOULD BUY THE BOX'S IN THE FUTURE. A SIMPLE CUSTOMISED SKIN ONTOP OF THE AWESOME DRIVERS IN STLINUX SPARK OS WOULD MAKE EVERY1 WANT TO BUY MORE

WE NEED TO WRITE A PETITION TO AMIKO ABOUT RELEASING THE SOURCE OF SPARK SO WE CAN GET OUR MONEYS WORTH OUT OF THESE DAMN FUSTRATING BOXES !!!! WHATS THE POINT OF BEING ABLE TO FLASH AN ENIGMA2 IMAGE IF THE DRIVERS ARE WAY INFERIOR THAN SPARKS ORIGINAL ONES OR PERHAPS SOMEONE CAN TELL ME IF THEY ARE SAME

SOMETHING IS JUST STUPID ABOUT THESE BOXES !! YOU CAN RUN A BLIND SCAN ON THE SPARK OS SIDE ON A SATELLITE IN A COUPLE OF MINUTES (FASTEST YOU'VE EVER SEEN) !!!YET YOU CAN'T GET A SIGNAL PERCENTAGE READING ON THE INFOBAR IN THE ENIGMA2 SKIN SIDE OF IT IN A QUICK SECOND. ITS JUST SO DAMN PATHETIC. IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO TO GET AMIKO TO MAKE THEIR SPARK O/S OPENSOURCE

Use the tune2fs command if you just want to (re)label the partition:
    tune2fs -L RECORD /dev/sdxy

where RECORD is the label and sdxy is the partition you wish to label (usually sda1 but can be found with fdisk -l command).

thanks, saves me searching for this command again, if this works i will never need format again, every image will work using ext3 on 1 partition /dev/sda1
I tried before 2 partition with a 1gb swap partition. Anyone know if its really pointless using swap partition or any swap for that matter on these silly STB's, I have noticed maybe telnet log's in and the shell works more efficiently perhaps.
but no major difference in speed or performance, it seems pointless

Sadly hard drive needs to be formatted to Ext3 or Ext4 to work. NTFS or even Fat wont work for recording. I also think you are right about a problem with the HDD initialisation, I tried a few times but ultimately ended up formatting the disk using a free application called MiniTool Partition Wizard on my laptop. That aside generally a very good and stable image.

HDD initialise does work but takes a while and you can't turn the box off during the process. Then it only makes 1 partition /dev/sda1
after doing this however I've noticed the drive works perfectly on the spark firmware side (record functions everything) using ext3. so now I can use it in both enigma2 and spark w/out formatting ever again
my next effort would be to try and use the -L (label) command with the -L RECORD function just to see if it will also work with HDMU cos sometimes I like to demo the latest 10000 beta images they release
btw is there a samba I can use with your image martinxp .. i think I have installed a samba 1.0 with this image before but now I can't find it
    thanks

Yes, you will need a drive attached for CrossEpg or else it will save to internal flash and cause the box to glitch/crash. CrossEpg is just for satellite as it only gives now and next Epg, terrestrial doesn't need it as it has 7 day Epg

Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

yeah that's what I thought, wondered why some EPG settings were disabled in this image I tried, CrossEPG is in it aswell that's why I thought maybe I was missing something.
It's ok I enabled the EPG settings in setup and vwala the EPG came up in channellist on Terrestrial. I wish there was some way to update satellites.xml or do a blind scan in enigma2, cos I get a lot of live feeds in OZ sport etc
they're always changing and rarely on lyngsat. BUT saying that usually the biss info is never available so until you get that finding the TP is useless..
CrossEPG is completely useless in OZ as the optus AURORA channels have ceased Feb 2014. It is now changed to VAST. VAST signals locked to the VAST boxes which have no emu, cam's software or CrossEPG etc.

thank you ... but I can not mount it
hdd missing even though in the settings it detects
    Can you help me?

    well
    mount = the command
-t = arguement for filesystem formatted on hdd
/dev/sda1 = src device usually the first partition on the hdd (the one you want in most cases)
    /media/hdd = destination mount

is it blank or does it have stuff on it you want to keep ?
    all this equals:
    bash# mount -t ext3 /dev/sda1 /media/hdd
this is how I get it to mount during boot process
stuff that command just before the exit all in your /etc/init.d/mountall script (at the very end of code) and it will mount every boot up

(if its fat32 or ntfs change the -t option) has that answered your question ?
if you can't get it to detect use fdisk /dev/sda
once in fdisk hit "L" key enter see if its showing u the partitions , see which has your filsystem on it sda1 sda2 etc

    How to mount hdd/usb???????

Inviato dal mio GT-I9300 utilizzando Tapatalk

mount is a pretty simple easy to use command on any linux just search up manual for mount

whether you can get it to automatically mount when your STB boot's AND whether or not your image is setup to use ext3 fat32 NTFS is a complete hit or miss though :)
because some of the recording features rely on specific things setup in the image. linux is quick and reliable and fast ! why none of these people creating these images
HDMU, OPENPLI, PKTEAM, WHY they can not get any of the images stable and fast is beyond me.. i think they are just hacks who have no idea

When you change from channel using Mpeg audio to one using AC3 ie from BBC1 to S*Y movies premier the sound needs to be turned up on the TV in order to still hear it. It'a a lot quieter on AC3, i even tried an AutoVolume addon that i found for DM500 and DM800 it loaded up but had no effect.

Yeah I have 1 channel that always does that on enigma 2 it's also called ONE funnily enough lol
I have used autoadjustvolume plugin with hdmu and it DOES work so I would think it would be around the interwebs somewhere try filecrop.com and search enigma2 plugins volume sh4 ipk (or something similar)

I don't know what it is with enigma2 images on amiko alien 2 receiver something slow in the Terrestrial driver (the kernel) always takes so so long to load the EPG's and any transponder information ie. the signal strength and quality (BER also)
It turns me off using it and I just end up going back to original spark 1.2.72 firmware cos it takes to bloody long to use and always slow when using just the channel list really, something always annoys me

ON Terrestrial DVB-T on my provider station, always the Signal Strength is 50% but the Signal quality is always 84%
Could this be what is slowing my enigma2 down when it comes to the Terrestrial side on my box ??
Would appreciate any answer, I could perhaps line up my outside antennae better

No luck with the with the plugins, but I like osdadjustment for getting the best size out of the skins, as some skins tend to be off on the bottom. Cheers..

all you do is switch to a (Pli)HD skin before you switch to the one you desire.. I noticed metrixHD IPMAN mod plugin did not automatically adjust from the default skin of martinxp's image
