backup your channel list onto a USB stick. Reset the receiver to factory defaults. See if your new firmware can now be loaded. See if your channel list can be reloaded, if not you may have to load another channel list or start again. Some of the Technomate channel lists are suitable for the Dr HD D15.

This firmware build seems to support faster channel locking and changing. I am still hoping that dish moving for disq 1.2 motor in the analyser view may be fixed one day.

Looks like it is time to move on to a different make of receiver. I am looking at the Amiko A3 Spark 2 receiver. Until I looked at it I did not know about XBMC. As it runs on Android it uses an Android XBMC app.

I have passed on recommendations on the blind search to improve this facility. The receiver has enormous potential if the manufacturer is as responsive as it has been to an American forum.

Sadly I still cannot even move my dish except going deep into the menus on Dr.HD. The database is flooded with dummy irrelevant transponders during scans and there have been no manufacturer's site updates for a year.

Loading firmware would not cause power failure in the box. It may be a coincidence that the power supply happened to fail at that point. Sounds like a return to the supplier to me.

Has firmware support for the D15 stopped now?

I was hoping that the outstanding issues of phantom transponders added to the database after a blind search and the inability to move the dish in the spectrum analysis screen might be fixed by now after a year and a half.

Hi, I checked these channels with a 1.2 dish in central Scotland and compared results with another reliable reciever as a benchmark. The resluts follow:
I 'd like to ask the owners of d15 if they can watch with stable picture and without freezes and glitches the following channels @ Eutelsat 3D:

11525, H, 1500, 3/4 music alremas
Poor picture quality breaking up 11db
Other receiver good sound and picture.

11543, V, 1780, 5/6 hona baghdad
No signal both receivers

11585, V, 2222, 3/4 benghazi television
Steady picture and sound 8.4db

11612, H, 1100, 3/4 otv
No signal

12530, H, 1700, 8/9 ennahar
Good picture and sound 11.7db

12568, V, 2750, 2/3 waar sport
Some glitches 12.2db
Other receiver no glitches

12572, V, 3650, 2/3 waar sport hd
Initial glitches then steady 12.3db

Please let me know if motor moving from the blue button is fixed as, after waiting months I have gone back to my Technomate to move my dish, thanks

Good news for the 117p firmware: the wait until the blind search begins has been reduced from 2 min 30 sec to just 20 sec when no signal immediately received.

I have never had any problem with glitching after a lot of blind scanning. I have also noted that the excessive two and minuet before starting to scan is still there. The move satellite dish from the blue button still does not work. If these faults were fixed this would be a great receiver. The tuner is great.

thanks for the advise. I am using a Fibo 120cm dish controlled by a Vbox II. Unfortunately it rarely arrives precisely on the satellite and so I have to fine tune to peak the signal. I was hoping that by pressing the blue button I could use the signal peaks to do the fine tuning. This method worked well on the TM6900.

I got this receiver for feed hunting. The good news is the receiver is sensitive and can blind scan feeds with low symbol rates. I would like to replace my Technomate TM6900 with this receiver as the picture quality is excellent. NTSC transcoding works perfectly.

The big drawback is that moving the dish without going through 3 layers of menus is not possible which makes moving between satellites frustrating. The buttons assigned to moving the dish having pressed the blue button may work for one pulse, send your dish flying across the *** or mostly, not at all. I have contacted the manufacturer about this and they assure me it will be fixed.

The second big drawback is if the blind scan does not find a signal straight away it will wait two and a half minutes before scanning. Once it does start scanning it is very fast and you can choose increment intervals. The manual says you can choose to scan low medium or high symbol rates. Not so. This facility is not written into the software as yet.

This receiver is, at present, a bit of a mixed bag but could be a great receiver with some attention from the software engineer.

You are right. This menu is missing. As it is mentioned in the manual it may this feature is still to be included .Dr.HD do answer support requests so why not mention it to them?
