Hi, I am having problems with my DM800HD genuine Sim 201, I bought this box used and it came with cable tuner which works fine i.e scanning for cable channels and watching them with no problems.
Since I have satellite dish all set up with four LNB I wanted to change the cable tuner for a satellite tuner, so I went ahead and bought (Alps REV M BSBE2-801A) to replace the cable tuner but for some reason the system can not see the tuner “tuner A Empty”.
I have tried different DM800HD images and flash the SSL 84b few times with no success.
At first I thought it was the tuner so I sent it back for a refund and bought another from a different place still the same problem.
So after a lot of searching I feel am stuck, I would appreciate help from members.

    Many thanks

I have followed the procedure step by step and fully reboot the box its just not changing the password on the DCC application, the password on the dm500s does change but not on the application.
I have been using flashfxp for quiet a while because of the problem i’m having with DCC but it won’t work it keeps asking for activation, I can’t get hold of the free version.

Mate I know the password I can change it with telnet but once the password is changed DCC can not reed the new password, on the DCC application default login details will not change for some reason, so every time I need to use DCC I have to change the box's password to default, that can’t be right!!

telnet> passwd then type new password and retype new password, after password change type reboot and restart DCC, I have done all that once the DCC start and the box rebooted all I get is incorrect login telnet not connected.

Start DCC 2.96 and Press Telnet > type passwd and hit enter, ( enter the password here, it will remain invisible, then it will ask you to rewrite it, do so)..

When the password has been changed type reboot

Close DCC 2.96 then reopen ,once the DM500 has started up again, type in your password and press Reconnect..

Thanks for your help, I have done the above but I'm still facing the same problem, after reboot i'm not being asked to enter password??

Hi, i’m having a problem using dcc with my dm500 since i have changed the box’s password, i have changed the dm500 password using dcc but the application still has the default password (dreambox) so i can not use the telnet or ftp unless i change the password back to default, what am i doing wrong?

I found this guide online its pretty good step by step for your box, although this guide was directed at the clients of the person who made it, I’m sure it will help you sort out your box.

I got this of the net that might help you,

Adding clines to your OpenBox s9 / s10
For those of you who for one reason or another, are experiancing difficulties adding clines, I have put together this basic tutorial showing how to add clines.

First download the attached test cccam.cfg file at the bottom of this page.
Once unzipped open the file and overwrite the test clines with your own active clines, then save the changes.

Now add the cccam.cfg file to a USB Stick, do not zip the file, add it as is.
Then place the USB Stick that contains the cccam.cfg file, into the USB connector at the rear of the receiver.

Now go to Menu -> Network Local Settings and select CCcam Plug Setting and click the OK button

Now select Update Files by USB and click the OK button.

Now select CCcam, cfg [CCcam Plug] and click the OK button, you should then see a check mark or tick appear, indicating you have selected the file, if there is no tick shown, then you have not selected anything, and nothing will be installed.

If there is no tick displayed, select CCcam, cfg [CCcam Plug] and click the OK button

Once the tick is displayed, click the Yellow button.

Now highlight each cline you wish to activate, by clicking the OK button, a tick will appear next to each cline you have activated.

Finally check your Network Settings are configured correctly.

If your router supports DHCP turn it ON and click Apply.
If your router do not support DHCP you will be required to set it up manually, click Apply once you have set it up correctly

Now reboot your receiver, and if all is okay, you may start viewing channels, if not check the cline restrictions if they are correct.
