Dont follow what the blind scan fix is.
The fundamental is still there, you still have to wait ages before it starts.
Sub menu is still missing, ie the one that is for symbol rates below 2000, over 7500 etc.
It was in the original software, i wonder why they removed it.
Otherwise its all as you were.

I got this receiver for feed hunting. The good news is the receiver is sensitive and can blind scan feeds with low symbol rates. I would like to replace my Technomate TM6900 with this receiver as the picture quality is excellent. NTSC transcoding works perfectly.
The big drawback is that moving the dish without going through 3 layers of menus is not possible which makes moving between satellites frustrating. The buttons assigned to moving the dish having pressed the blue button may work for one pulse, send your dish flying across the *** or mostly, not at all. I have contacted the manufacturer about this and they assure me it will be fixed.
The second big drawback is if the blind scan does not find a signal straight away it will wait two and a half minutes before scanning. Once it does start scanning it is very fast and you can choose increment intervals. The manual says you can choose to scan low medium or high symbol rates. Not so. This facility is not written into the software as yet.
This receiver is, at present, a bit of a mixed bag but could be a great receiver with some attention from the software engineer.
Basically i agree, though can help with satellite selection, just press the "group" button you will see the all and list of satellites go up or down to the satellite you want press ok on it and hey presto !

Have sent them a message about it, also asking why there is a 30 second delay at the start of a blind scan, there should not need to be,
the feed hunter will go to the satellite first then blind scan, no need for the delay.
Used a manhattan plaza st550 for years, outdated now but great in its day, no 30 second delay with that and the sr variation worked as
it should, it made the blind scan with less error.
I do also note with the dr hd you have to do a blind scan between 12.500 and 12.750 one polarity at a time -
has anybody an ORF smartcard decoding in a D15?
mine states "invalid smart card"
please helpI would think if you are using "p" software, that may cause a conflict if you know what i mean !!

Hi
I have been around the sat scene for a long time, but i am a bit confused with this one.
I use my d15 mostly for feed hunting, but i cannot find the sub menu that is for the symbol rates
eg full 7.5 over 7.5 etc, tried everything, i dont know if it is on the 108p/110p software as i have
tried both, it dosent tell you how to get it in the manual anyway just that it is there.
Other than that the box is a doddle to use and works well, usually the blind scan will be more
accurate if the symbol rates are cut down, eg under 7.5, otherwise the box will take longer and
miss things, any clues would be appreciated.
