Glad you got it sorted - as you have solved this I will close this thread...

Is your card being read in Oscam and passed to CCcam via nline or is it being read in CCcam direct?
-
If you are concerned about it then so long as things are running ok, why risk it? although usually the updates would be ok, there is always the risk of something going wrong, so if you are not physically there to put things right then if I were you I would leave this until you are not miles away from your server!

hi all i've tryed to install tspanel on de 4.0 using telnet the commands i'am using are
opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-tspanel_6.7_mispel32el-nf.ipk
when i enter the commands it says -sh ipkg not found
i have ftp the tspanel in tmp->var/tmp first
don;t no what to do to get this to work
could any help please
bri31You can answer your own question by reading what you have just posted. You have placed the file in /var/tmp - so the command you were advised to use
Quoteopkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-tspanel_6.7_mispel32el-nf.ipk
was based on the assumption that the ipk was in /tmp - It isn't, it is in /var/tmp, so it should beQuote
opkg install -force-overwrite /var/tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-tspanel_6.7_mispel32el-nf.ipk -
take it you followed the guide on Ten Below's link?
delete the line starting with 'boxid' - as it said it is not needed - reboot server try to connect if it doesn't then post your logs again -
i understand that the card reader is reading internal slot, but when i use pcsc_scan it tells me that my local card is in there,so is it reading the card or not.
many thanks
Ken..might be the case but oscam is configured to tell it to read your card from a device that doesn't exist
in your oscam configs you have protocol as 'internal' and this should be 'pcsc'
you also have device = /dev/sci0 - this is pointing to a non existing device - you need to set it to the location of your omnikey - this location can be obtained if you follow the tutorial Ten Below posted, or you can assume it is likely to be device = 0 for the first reader, device = 1 for the second and so on. -
So this is not a valid subscription card, you are talking about a payserver. Refer to my previous post, we are not going to give you any help if you are using a payserver more so that you are trying to reshare a paid cline - this is a no go and so is this thread

might be that the channel list you are using has not got all the interactive channels added, or there has been provider changes. Try looking at the channels as per scan rather than the bouquets (down button, green for satellites, and select the service option for the corresponding satellite) - try selecting each channel that has a number rather than a service name, and you may eventually find the interactive channel you want. If no luck, do a scan and repeat this process, or download the latest settings. Once you have found the interactive channel you want, you can then add this to your bouquet by pressing menu when the channel is highlighted, select add to bouquet, and put it where you want.
I think the sly sports interactive channels are numbered 1471 and onwards

Buy a subscription card and do some reading...

you are in the UK so this may work - I am not sure if there has been any changes since I did this but if there are issues then use the Generic UK set

you could always make your own...

and hey once you have you could share it with the rest of us:red: -
as per my reply above, once the EPG data is initially loaded ( at bootup time ), it is then held in live memory regardless of where the EPG.dat file is saved to. personally i would recommend the HDD as the best location for EPG data with the USB a close second, as the HDD will never spin up no matter how much you draw upon the EPG via daily use.
Forgive my ignorance on that, you are correct, but can't tell the difference between USB and HDD so I don't see an advantage either way. Maybe I was getting confused with picons, but feel free to correct me if I am wrong on that one too! I like being wrong sometimes, it is all part of learning:lol: -
I am slightly confused....

Firstly it is much better to store your EPG data on a USB stick, a couple of reasons, if it is stored on HDD, then this increases power usage, as it will power down less as you are accessing it more frequently, and the opposite effect is if it is already powered down, then it takes time to wake up to display the EPG. using a USB flash will sort that out. You can manually grab your EPG rather than waiting for it to update as per timer by pressing the blue button the the remote and select CrossEPG downloader - should then go through a process of reading summeries, processing and loading, (which you will see working). If you have your epg set to grab OpenTV 28.2e, this should give you a full 7 day epg - where the internet based rytec only gives you 5, and can have more problems.
Rather than knowing if your channel list is up to date, you are better off doing updates every few days, to keep it up to date. If you are using the latest ViX then go to menu -setup - service searching - autobouquetsmaker - and you can schedule regular scans to keep it up to date without having to do it manually. Ensure you don't clash this with the epg update schedule.

introductions
please pass by introductions and, well, introduce yourself - as per rulesif Oscam isn't restarting when you restart via webinterface, then it could be a number of problems, hardware or configuration. Try looking at the 'bindwait' option in oscam.conf - this is quoted from the oscam wiki.
QuoteDisplay More
bindwait
parameter is optionalvalue in seconds to wait for bind request to complete. If OSCam within this time can not bind, he finished with "Bind Request failed".
Causes may include:
Double assignment of ports
"crashed" OSCam has not released the ports again
OSCam was started serveral times whileExample:
bindwait = 20 # waiting time 20 seconds
Default:
bindwait = 120 # waiting time 120 seconds
If you are using Oscam with CCcam, then if there are any conflicts such as ports or if CCcam starts reading the cards if Oscam is restarted, then this could cause issues. It is not always easy to pinpoint, but to rule out config issues, test it with minimal configs, also test it without cardreaders/cards to see if there is any hardware issues.

have you checked the epg is saving to where you want it? Preferabley USB stick, check this, manually grab epg and reboot - see if this helps - also ensure you have up to date channel lists.
-
An introduction post is required here first Introductions
also xsho3 please try to post in english for the benefit of all users, and post an intro.
If you only recently bought the box, and you have not messed with anything, and it was working before, maybe have a word with your supplier.

take it you have the port (21) and protocol settings (FTP), and the ip address and user/pass correct? - set it with no encryption.
If you connect OK with filezilla then there is no problem with the ftp server on the receiver, so a correctly configured winscp should work.

and besides this he runs or promotes a payserver from his online shop.
