Someone is telling your mate porkies!!

So long as the receiver you buy has HDMI output and is HD, DVB-S/S2 then there would not be an issue. Anything that runs Enigma2 will fall under this category - including the one you have. The GUI might not support 3D, but whenever you see a 3D channel side by side broadcast, then just press the 3D button on the TV and the broadcast will be watchable in 3D.

CCcam and Oscam are different software so the way they work could affect the ECM times. You shouldn't worry about response times. If you get glitching, you can then see if it is down to high ECM, if you don't get glitching then no need to worry.

I think the term High ECM should be put in to context - for example - sly UK local ECM response is usually under 100ms, for JSC Sports Viaccess it is about 250ms and for MTV Unlimited Conax it is over 500ms - these are all observed by myself. To get an idea of what the response times should be from a card located on a remote server, then add the expected local time to the ping time between you and the server who hosts the card, and a few more ms to allow for network conditions. If the server is busy then it can increase the time further. Some cards ie - sly UK request a Control Word (CW) which is encrypted as an entitlement control message (ECM) once every few seconds, but some cards are much less frequent than this, so that is why you will find that the services that request more are more likely to 'glitch'. Basically, the term 'High ECM' is referring to the time it takes between the service request and the answer from the card, and if this takes too long then it will cause a break in the decryption, or 'glitch'. If you use Oscam, then you can see this in motion, and will be able to detect the glitch in the logs, associated with an unusual spike in the response times.

Any more news my card is not clearing
    But c/s is
    Cheers
    G

This is an old thread so no news to tell, and I am also watching Sampdoria V Udinese on my Card - JSC Sports +1 - no issues at all.

You need to check your settings, check your entitlements etc, if it isn't working then post your configs and log files.

people in europe who need a dish lets say in spain will no longer be able to watch *** uk as the footprint will be smaller
if i was lets say in spain again, with a sever and my dish, how would i update my card? i would not be able to as my dish wont pull any ecms to my server
    get the meaning now????

    read posts 3.04pm and 4.21pm

I remember when i used to run BH image the inbuilt EPG didn't capture all the data as had some regions missing. Not sure how i disabled it, but i made sure that there were no scheduled downloads or any other options to point it to using that inbuild EPG. I used CrossEPG, make sure you have set the location for the data to be stored as HDD or better still USB stick. If you have problems then might be an idea do delete any existing EPG data (epg.dat) and reboot, start again.

Not sure what is going on here - could be the image you are using doesn't like the plugin - as i just mentioned, this plugin is included in the feeds of a lot of images - so try deleting this one and use the one from the feeds.

    trying this on VU-solo
whats best way to get dvbsnoop file as its not added here on Vix image

Rather than installing the plugin i have posted here, if you go to the vix plugin feeds (menu, plugins, green button, extensions) - you will find it there, and this will include the dvbsnoop as part of the install. Not sure if the one i posted includes this, but the one on the feeds will be fine.

Edit - read the whole thread and it does state that the plugin already includes dvbsnoop, so should work.

Moved the thread as help for plugins should be posted seperately from the actual plugin posting sections.

Clearly lots of downloads and no other reported problems, and just saying it doesn't work does not give anyone any way to try to help you. Please elaborate.

I so some people getting info from Other Forums and post here .....and is not right having this limitation....for attachmants and pressing thnx ...a good Forum is free.

A good forum is free, and this forum is free if you don't want to donate, but it costs money to host, to have space, and for the bandwidth, so if there were no limitations then a lot of people would be downloading a lot more, therefore increased bandwidth, and increased costs. Who is going to pay for these costs?

The way it is working is if you want to have the privilege of increased downloads and increased PMs etc, then it is right that you should donate towards the costs of running the forum. So you say a good forum is free, but the costs for hosting have to come from somewhere in order for the forum to exist at all.

Firstly your friend has 5 locals? I know your friend isn't charging you, but is he charging others to cover the cost of his 5 locals? Cardsharers (peer to peer) generally don't need more than one or 2 locals, those who have friends and family clients only would usually only have the card specific to where they live, and having 5 locals sounds like baloney (faking) or a payserver (probably both).

Your friend would be better off giving you a Cline rather than an nline, and restricting the reshare so you can share it once, after all if you are giving this to your friends and family just for their viewing, what use would further levels of reshares be?

all seems a bit dodgy to me:doubt:

Ensure the smb server is running ok - not sure if it is working as default or you have to activate it in BH, but in ViX you need to navigate to the Network settings and enable it with the green button and press yellow to enable it to start from boot. Also you should fix the receiver to a static internal IP address - best done in the router - this will depend on the router on how it is done, but usually you have to locate the mac address and fix it to a specific IP address. You can also do this in your network menu - adaptor settings - choose not to use DHCP and assign a fixed IP address, only problem being is if it isn't fixed in your router it can cause conflicts if your receiver is off for a while and another device gets assigned to the one fixed on the receiver.

In windows (this is for windows 8) - my computer - right click - select "add a network location" then click next and choose custom location

add the ip address like this for example

    \\192.168.0.001\

depending on what your receiver ip address is - edit above, then click browse and you should then see that IP address appear - click on the arrow before the ip address to expand the folders on that address - I see my Root folder and the Harddisk folder, and then select the one you want and press ok. If you want all the folders then repeat the process, but remember if you choose root you can navigate to any folder you want in windows, but beware with what you mess with!
