I had a similar problem when I got my Ultimo first. I kept loosing the HDD after a reboot. Recordings were not lost though.

Tried everything and finally had to send it back. They replaced the main board. Fine now.

Just guessing here, but if you have a twin LNB with two feeds from it and a twin tuner, why do you need a diseqc switch?
Just take it out and set tuner A equal to tuner B.
