    Yeah I setup the dish per markings and used an app on my phone to point it in the right direction, been moving the dish east and west (via receiver) but cant find thor. or get the signal to increase at all?! try again during the day, is it worth just moving the lnb to get a closer idea?

    Hi


    Having trouble setting up my dishes.
    I've just setup a 1m motorised dish and put it into tuner A.
    And my existing sly dish into Tuner C, for some reason it doesn't show signal in Tuner B.


    I go into sat finder in settings and have signal on Tuner C (28.2) but nothing for tuner A now (0.8) even though it had some earlier?


    can anyone help me with my first setup. been playing around but seem to be getting nowhere.


    Any tuts anywhere?

  • Which configuration to purchase? Vu + DUO 2

    Right! Thanks to the members who have helped me so far!! I'm buying one of these Duo 2 boxes.


    I intend to put a HDD in myself - approximately a 1 - 1.5tb HDD. As the box takes either 2.5" or 3.5" is there any good one recommended? is 3.5" more reliable as its intended for Workstations rather than laptops?


    main question is which one to get?

    Whats the difference between single tuner and DVB-C/T Tuner?


    DVB-S2 - this is the normal digital satellite signal correct?


    I'll be getting the 97cm motorised package deal with this, so will want to be able to watch something on this, while recording two freesat channels all at the same time.

    Been reading lots!
    I download most of my films ;) would like to get blu rays and put them on or ideally directly download them to the box - is that possible or will i have to stream from my pc to the box?
    thinking about getting the duo2 and satellite package (from WOS) and do the dish once i've sorted the flashing of the box - still cant decide what image i'd put on there? - probably black hole.
    Is there a list of possible subs?
    Is it okay to have a third coax cable coming from my sly dish, as there are already 2 going into the sly box?
    Hopefully going to order it tomorrow

    yeah I thought it was just a matter of big dish, linux box and tune in to european/arab station.
    Seems like not that simple with rights and that. Is there any help I can get on how people do this? I used to just use sopcast, or atdhe or wiziwig. But want better quality and not get ripped off through sly. Fed up of missing goals through buffering and poor quality lol.
    I dont mind paying a fair subscription if I get good quality and lots of games.

    So I think my best setup would be:
    keep *** box and record two normal channels on there.
    And just use the satellite for trying to get football and movies on.


    Whats the best supported box that I can get and get most footy channels on with a motorised dish?
