I'm trying the 2.9 version on a standard Gemini image on Dreambox two. (The 3.0 version crashes for some reason) but anyway the thing is that I can make the plugin work (or the EPG mod version) for IPTV, it loads up lots of events, I can see that the epg.db file is there in /etc/enigma but nothing shows up on the channel lists. The same setup works on a non-Dreambox box so there is probably some other problem. Any idea what the cause could be or which image works with EPGimport and DB two ?

1) How do you put the box in stand by? When I press power the screen turns black but the sound keeps on running and pressing buttons on the remote does bring up various icons on the screen.
2) The media player seems to crash if you try to change the audio / subtitle track.

Thanks for for the image, however. the Subsupport downloader does not work. Keys pressed on the remote are not recognized. Can you fix that ?

i tried the subtitles plugins, it workes fine
What image and plugin combination works for you ? I have been unable to make the various versions of subssupport work under DM Two.

Working custom version (1.6.2) for DM Two UHD with DreamOS.
Should work also on DreamBox 900 | 920 | One.
Can not make this work on DM Two either on the original or the PP image. The plugin crashes with: AttributeError 'eListbox' object has no attribute 'setFont' (in file "usr/lib/enigma2/python/skin.py, line 242 ....).
Anyway, even if this somehow worked which mediaplayer would allow the loading of downloaded files / execution of the plugin while starting a movie ?

I think the main issue now is with the audio. Is the audio being decoded via software ? This could be the reason for the slight sync issues and some media files where no sound is played (E-AC-3 (ATSC A/52B) or AC-3 (ATSC A/52) decoder not available).

Maybe I mixed up things, but yes, it's probably a good idea to simply take the keymap.xml from the DMM base.

Press the audio button and there is the subtitles menu(green)
Yes, that is the case for the images who use the official base; but not so for the openenigma images.

Great job and the image works very well for most daily use!
Some suggestions for future improvements:
-The IPTV I tried via JediMaker has sound and video unsynced by about 0.5-1 sec. Since it works OK on my other receiver I guess it could be due to some player issues ?
-No sound on some media files. Typically resulting in "Gstreamer plugin AC-3 (ATSC A/52) decoder not available" or "Gstreamer plugin E-AC-3 (ATSC A/52B) decoder not available". Happens on newer x265 or files with Atmos audio.
-The standby on/off button only turns the screen black, the HDMI output is still there and the LED remains strong.
-Switch resolution between HD and 4K option! (No module named VideoHardware). Maybe this has already been fixed?
-Perhaps some basic stuff such as ftp/nano could be included in the image ?

Is it possible to update the content of the bouquets only ? I want to keep the order of the bouquets in Favourites as it is and not that being reordered every time I do an update. ?

In my experience some image files do not always show up even though they are there on the stick. You can try with some other USB stick as mentioned.
Anyway, unless there are other reasons, why use USB sticks to flash images ? Just select "Network multiboot image upgrade" from the recovery menu and select the image you like. Most images show up there and are up to date.

AX61 does not have Gigabit Ethernet and no support for USB 3. Octagon SF8008 ?

BlackHole images are typically only made for Vu+ boxes even though derivatives for other boxes are sometimes available. I would not expect a release for Dreamboxes though.
The hardware of the Two is quite good but is indeed let down by the software.

I did not try DVB-S2 but I guess to make it interesting playing of media files and IPTV is a must.
Anyway, if you need any sort of help let me know, I (and others here) can most certainly do all sort of testing for you.

I've tried the image and I appreciate the work so thank you for that.
I was however unable to get any video out. Tried playing some local video files through mediaplayer and IP streams via JediMaker but nothing shows up. Aslo tried changing the videoplayer but all I get out is a black screen. Anything I'm doing wrong ?
Some other small things: can one change the resolution to 4K ? The box also does not go into standby mode, the video output remains there and the LED keeps blinking at all times.

It is possible to install Android on a SD card for the One. There is a guide here
