Hi Guys.
Having recently purchased this Box, I still have to play around with some settings. And all seems well apart from Lip sync issues.
This only happens after I have recorded without the timer. or indeed if I watch a recording then go back to watching a channel. As the Timer will switch of the box once recording has finished which will fix the sync issue I am experiencing. The PVR settings are as default, "No timeshift file set on watching only on Record". Rather than keep rebooting to fix the issue is there anything else I can do ?.

I have tried the last few, and the latest firmwares up to OPENBOX-***BOX_S10_110808

I really like this s10 box. getting annoyed with the sync issues regarding recording, I mean the sync is fine recording, but once you watch a recording the lip sync goes out on all the channels, and the only way back is to rebbot the box. as if you record again it would also be out of sync. only had it awhile so maybe there is a setting I could alter ?. I have tried all the latest firmwares. hopefully there is a fix coming.

I have installed this new firmware. being a Newbie I have never used cams, So I would not yet attempt to review the avatar cam addition, This firmware whilst being called openbox s10 once installed shows slybox logo on boot screen. I am guessing this is an updated version of that previous slybox firmware. I like the slybox layout better, just wish there was a send to pvr button rather than timer lol.

It seems to work fine apart from in the main menu "Favourite", When you get to favs group 5 anything you add does not show up whilst viewing favs menu, yet adding favs 6 menu item, will show up as item 5 whilst viewing. maybe this happened after I imported my channel list back in. Not a major problem for me as I only use 6 of the menu items, so losing one is not an issue. joint10

How to identify clone Ali3602 HD Receiver
all consumers :

if you have an Ali3602 HD Receiver like S9,S10...there has a method to identify if it is original (quality goods) or clone.

Before identify , please backup your old software on the box by usb. Download CONM_HDS2_CMT_110617.rar upgrade it by usb.
enter menu---tool---information---press "8888" key, now you will see CHIP ID , If the box CHIP ID is in the chip_id_list, congratulatation, your HD Receiver is original version! You can upgrade any new firmware to experience more new functions. Otherwise, You Box is clone version , please recover the software with the old version! This software will kill the clone box when power on over 10 times. If less than 10 times, no kill for clone verion.
the chip_id_list is the following, it will update everyday: (updated date :06/28/2011)

If you can not find the valid "CHIP ID" on the chip_id_list, it means your box is a clone box or a new chip ID has been added and you need to check for an update.
