you need to update oscam to new version for smargo v2 to be detected. they do work but seem vey high ecm on 0963.
smargo v1 = avg 100ms ecm
smargo v2 = avg 200+ms oecm response
this is in usb hub and out of.
more test needed
have adjusted card speed also but not much difference
will report back any findings
Hi there, having a few problems concerning newer versions of oscam and cacheex 3.
have been using it succesfully on version (sub svn7209) this and anything below it, cache ex 3 work fine.
anything above it, it doesnt, just doesnt push. i know there has been lots of new developments in oscam, but i have tried lots and lots of newer versions all without success on these higer versions.
push count and got count (inc hit count) remain at zero.
i can enable cache mode 2 and it works fine, but would like to try and use cache mode 3 if possible, i see others using and just want to understand what i am doing wrong.
currently TESTING on version Oscam r9482 but have tested on different versions as well all with same result.
here is default configs.

BUT in mode 3 it cannot, however in mode 2 it will.
what am i doing wrong? if i quickly downgrade oscam version on both servers to 7209 or below, it works as it should, anything above and it doesnt
this is using CAMD35 udp protocol and just local servers setup for testing.

also another quick question, is blueven HT enabled in all new versions of oscam, or do i have to get specifically patched version or patch it myself?

OK so for future reference it was indeed a DNS issue on the network where the server was located.
edited resolv.conf and added another nameserver
done......
OK so im just working this problem now and indeed if you disable any proxys (where the server has to connect out) then the problem goes away. so this to me points to a DNS issue.
are these serviers using static IP addresses? if so check gateway settings, and also resolv.conf!!!!!!!!!!! will post back shortly.
sorry pal, can you explain what the problem is with the reader on 1.7? might be able to help.
bulk write errors occur with two things in my experience.
cheap usb hubs
latest usb libs not installed (early versions of ubuntu.
they can occur when the server crashes also.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING FIRMWARE 1.7 EITHER AS CUSTOM SERIAL NUMBER DOES NOT WORK AT ALL IN OSCAM, YOU WILL NOT GET IT TO RUN.
YOU MUST USE
DEVICE = 007:003 (OR WHATEVER YOUR READERS VALUE IS)
STICK WITH FIRMWARE 1.5 AND IT GENERATES A UNIQUE SERIAL NUMBER FOR YOU WHICH YOU CAN USE SUCCESFULLY. I HAVE USED THIS FIRMWARE ON MORE THAN 100 CARD READERS, ALL ORIGINAL FROM SATSHOP_UK AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER.
AND FIRMWARE 1.7 IS OFFICIAL FROM ARGOLIS WEBSITE WHICH IS SUBSIDIARY OF MAXDIGITAL (OR OTHER WAY ROUND)
not sure what happened witht his image, flashed it on a few boxs, worked for a day or two (sometimes hour or two) then will onlyclear premium channels, all free to air wont clear???? this has happened on a few different boxs, in different locations as well. flashing back works for a while, then it goes again.
not sure if its me, or the image, but i`m just flashing it over and changing nothing else.
