Thanks Gav99, makes me think what the hell is the point or use in the loop through facility in bm7000 anyhoo!!!

Thanks for taking the time to answer, if ur Eva stuck with regards to fibre, copper, telephony, data, broadband home hub, faulty phone line,or coms provider issues then don't hesitate to p.m me fella!

Hi guys, running blade 7000s... All great, wanna put second box in as its ok with my server dude, not sure if I need a single sat feed from lnb or do I come from first blade loop through????... HELP... If its through the loop through then surely I won't need a hard wired data or wi-fi connection to the home hub??!!? Or will I need a separate connection to the hub???

Have had a look on tutorials etc but can't find any info to help me

    Many thanks in advance

    Andy ;-)

BT are launching another product or may have already launched it called Fibre On Demand,

as not everywhere is getting FTTP , this will allow you to get FTTP if you can get FTTC. the cost is quite heavy for install tho.

Yeah.... It's been about for a while, if you've got the coin then B.T will roll the fibre out to where ever you want.... Silly money though I think. Recently had fibre provided for a very rural wind farm. A lot of it being overhead in this instance !!! Overhead single feed fibre course was interesting... Thought that it couldn't be that robust to take Scottish weather.. But it does. And blown fibre...??!!... It was really interesting!!!.. You can send that stuff a fair old way with a bit of air and a tiny wee lead weight!!!! Clever basturts ;-)

if its working ok leave it alone m8 never had to do this with mine here is a nice guide to help you

Thanks for the feedback fella... yeah...if it aint broke etc !

using 0ct 2012 vesion and alls good.... just maybe looking too deep into it perhaps...

was curious though as to if I were to reset/ slam it back to factory settings.. update to most up to date firmware then repeat my original process would it be even better or would I fook it up?!?!

    ...questions questions... lol

    Regards- A. ;-)

Don't know about the rest of the uk but as far as up here in the nether regions is concerned im jst gonna wait see how it goes!!!... having only a few weeks ago been told at a pre roll out course on " super fast fiber " that customers with a back end of more than 1500 mtrs were not gonna get said super fast fibre!!! pffttt... and with so much aluminum ( white copper ) in the ground ( allegedly ) to add to the problems already, I 4 one am excited as to see jst how super fast this really is going to be! One good thing in the pipeline though on a plus.... those in rural ( 8 meg exchanges ) will not b left out, although its gonna take a bit of time... software/hardware up grades ( already successfully trialed ) WILL be rolled out soon to increase those poor feckers so called broadband !!! Scotland ?... Broadband ?.... more like Narrow band !! As for local loop un bundling.. other c.p's will get to utilize the network to offer their subscribers fiber. will b a slight delay probably i would of thought but will happen.. just my own thoughts on all this, not in any way a professional educated statement b.t.w ! :-/.... 2 choices I'm hearing.. 40down/10 up and 80 down/20 up... Id guesstimate half those figures ( although I'm no expert ) and supposed t.v.o.i.p rolling and a typical hd channel taking 9meg..record one watch another-18meg.. lets hope these forecast-ed figures hold out!

see!! new this would happen. Was in blade forum with this... re posted in here thinking I'd get more of a response... didn't mention that I am in fact card sharing also with blade.. don't know if that then entitles me to still post this in here or not?!?

Apologies Admin.. feel free to remove.

( jst off 2 read forum rules again..properly this time )

Hi, apologies in advance if this turns out to be one of those threads that infuriates the pro's out there.... any hoo... new to the sat. scene with regards to open boxes, and after a bit of research jumped in and went for the safe route of the blade 7000s..... managed to get it loaded with decent patched firmware...all up and running... working great first time ( which surprised even myself when I struggle with building or working out my young kids toys nowadays ).... trawled a few forums, not really getting involved till i found this one.. seems a good site, so its at this juncture I shall now commence with first thread question.....

I can remember reading/seeing somewhere that after grabbing channels online, flashing, doing the 9991 bit etc and getting connected 4 the first time that a factory reset should then be done.... and certain previous steps carried out again!

Is this true ?.... I have not done this!... does it matter ?.... and, should I ?

Or...... am I possibly just talking utter pish ( pish being scottish 4 urine )

    Thanks in advance
