Please forgive the intrusion onto the thread, but I am in a similar situation. I have my own S*y Card [white] which has been activated in a real S*y box. I should like to use it in my Vu+ Solo2 box and have been scouring many forums to find out the simplest way to do this. All I want to do is to share in my own home, specifically in an upstairs bedroom that will have a cheap [F5] box on my network. At 70 years old, I sometimes struggle, but know where to put Cccam and its config file, but I have been looking around for weeks trying to see what I need to do. Any help would be gratefully received. It's a good job I have so little hair on my head, because the head banging on the wall would have dire consequences for a fully hair headed person. I am also quite willing to buy an external card reader if this is needed, but I am using both USB Ports - WiFi dongle and Pen Drive for EPG and Swap File. Please help if you can. Regards.

What I find interesting is that the plugin fails to work on my Solo 2 but my Android MX box works flawlessly ***over the same IP connection*** so I'm left wondering how it can be ISP blocking. Regards.

I ended up with win 8 when I bought a new Laptop, Hated it at first, but it has now grown on me since updating to 8.1. Never had a crash or issues with get things to run ok, but maybe that's down to the Lappy being new.

Same with my new laptop but I still use stardock, a much friendlier I/F.

What super quick responses, thanks muchly I will go with Vix up front and many thanks also for those Backup images. I am grateful to you both. Regards.

Good Evening. I am a 69 year old, who managed to set up a S**Box F5 OK. I quickly realised its shortcomings, so I am looking to purchase a V+ Solo 2 from the forum sponsor on Monday. Knowing little to nothing about Linux, which image should I ask to be preloaded ? I am quite capable of following instructions, but after looking around here quite a bit both yesterday and today, I have discovered that I don't even understand the guides/terminology. Any help would be more than welcome and I imagine that, in the short term, I will have more questions than answers, so starting with the "easiest perceived" image may help somewhat. Thanks in advance for any recommendations. Regards.
