just got my mag 250 today and tried out some stuff from this Forum.
Mine is without Aura pay per month Service,iam not able to afford it at the Moment,i wanna try it on my own first.

Are you sure this box is a original???? Try Blackhole 1.7.2 if that flashes ok you may have a clone on your hands....

use the attached guide for how to configure it.
Have you tried different makes of usb sticks for flashing the image????? , Vu can be a bit picky at times....
Use the version from post #90 here: Mediaportal
and then try the telnet method using this command:
opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-mediaportal_5.0.6_all.ipk
What support do you need buddy????? we can't help if we don't know what the problem is....
This is a strange one, but you can still get sly sports news hd. Press the down button on your remote, then press the green button for Satellites. Then select 28.2 services, the list is alphabetical. I have no idea whatsoever why ABM is not picking it up.
You could send Todali on here a pm bud, he will keep you right on size needed and installation and he's local....

no you cant use someone else's bud if they already have a card paired to it, but if someone happened to be getting rid of a really old sly hd box....

You going to have to give the details of a sly hd box buddy for your card to be activated....whether it's your own or not is another matter.
There is a tab in the help section of their website for live chat, that's what i mean buddy.
If you phone up it won't be a automated system your connected too, there will be a sly advisor on the other end of the phone... If your going to go down this road use the online help assistant on their website instead, does the same job with having to talk to an actual person.
I would imagine the card has been sent to you from sly with them expecting you to put it in your sly box to activate it....
Two options you could try, first one is this: activating or waking up dead cards with dvbapi and OSCam alone, then leave your box on sly one for example overnight and hopefully the unique emm you require will come through.
second one which I have never tried myself but it has been posted on here before is to reset your pin online through the sly website, this should send a unique emm to your card.

Ok bud, when you have dcc running and open FTP, in front of you should see one panel on the left with "commander" in a tab above it, this is where you should see the "tmp" folder where you want o place the ipk file. Double click on the tmp folder and then you should see the contents of it. On the right hand side you have another panel with a drop down menu above it, in here you will see the contents of whichever directory you want to open on your pc or lappy. Using the dropdown menu select "desktop" the panel will now show whatever you have on your desktop, so if you have placed the ipk file on your desktop you should see it here... if you can click on it and then use the arrow button pointing towards the left panel to transfer it across to this location. Once that is done follow the rest of the instructions posted by masterG.
Was your sly card in the original receiver before you put it in the server buddy? if so which slybox do you have?
Have you checked the cooltv menu in your plugins menu??? you can configure different settings with it.
Remove it completely bud, it's more hassle than it's worth tbh....
