Make a separate backup of your cam config files before you upgrade or change your cam.
FTP into your box (var/tuxbox/config) and download the oscam "config" folder , then wjen you have done that backup the CCcam.cfg file (root/etc). When you have these two file downloaded onto your pc or lappy keep them save for future use. You can then easily FTP them back on when you download a new cam etc....

Yes I'm using Blackhole (2.0.8). I already had Oscam installed via the LinuxSatSupport Plugin. But I wanted to use the latest version so I downloaded Oscam from the oscam site and FTP'd the oscam file to usr/bin. Restarted the box but I don't see the cam when I press the Blue button - the old cam still shows.
Yep that's what happens when you just update the oscam file buddy, the older version you were using will still show on the blue panel, but when you open oscam webif you will see the new version number is showing there when running. The only way to get round this is to remove the old oscam completely through the addons uninstall panel and then load on a new ipk file...
Good stuff buddy, at least you know how to fix the problem....

What image are you using?
If it's vix then ftp the new oscam file over to usr/softcams (rename the oscam file already in there to oscam.old & chmod the new file to 755)
If it's Blackhole then ftp the new oscam file over to usr/bin

The tutorial that cazuela posted for you buddy is referring to the new version of the remote that now comes with the duo/uno & solo2 etc...
The standby button for tv on the newer remote lights up red when any button is pressed on it. I would go ahead and follow the tut even though you have a older style Vu remote there, it may work.
How do I login as root?
On the winscp login page click on the edit tab, you can then change the username to root etc..
What way are your tuners configured buddy?? and also what build of Vix are you using? 808?

This means the box you are using is installed with the latest firmware and that your card is hard paired to the receiver....
Hi, My vu duo will not let me flash image via usb. I have tried the bootloader, nothing happens. I was using BH 2.0.5 back up. I have ftp and deleted enigma2 folder and some others but cannot flash image. Please help
Try a different usb stick, Vu can be choosey at times as to what brand you use to flash, also make sure that nothing else is connected to the box by usb.
If nothing has changed with your configs buddy then try a full restart of your box and router.

not really bud, I take it you mean accessing it through your browser??? just make sure that in the openwebif settings you set a port so you can connect to it. For example if I wanted to view the openwebif info I would use this in my browser :
http://theipaddyofyourbox:1234/ (the number 1234 is the what you would need to have set as the port number in the settings under Http port)
By default samba is off in the Vix image bud, not your duo.... if you enable it then yes your duo should be visible on your home network.
If I were you I would try a clean install of the latest ViX 3.0 808, the backup from musogeek is excellent but there have been a lot of updates etc since it was made..... remember to backup all your configs etc first.
ok you would need samba running for your duo to show on the home network...

When you had ViX 3.0 808 installed did you check if samba was running buddy?
