    Update: I flashed DE 7.1 and everything works perfectly....how is this possible? Now I'll try reflashing 7.2 again if I have time (but it's the third time and I don't see what could change....) One question. If I only update DEP from 7.1 to 7.2, would I get the same result? What substantial differences are there between 7.1 and 7.2? Because if there aren't many, I'd leave 7.1.

    Ok, I'll try DE fhd and report. Many tks. In any case Now the problem of opening the channel list with the down arrow key seems to be solved, the list opens and is immediately "interactive". However, changing channels is still slow, not at every change, but almost. Especially if I change channels via the list that I open with the down arrow; changing with the right arrow is a little better, but still random, that is, with a quick click it sometimes takes 2 or 3 seconds at least... Later I'll try the recommended skin and report back. Always hoping that some good friend who has DE on 900 can send me a backup... Anyway, thanks everyone.

    Yes I do. Now when I push rcu arrow down Channel list appear and work well. But when I change Channel or zap, It Is Always very slow.

    Thanks to both of you for your advice. I'll clarify a few points and my configuration. The DM is practically new, as is the power supply, so I'd rule out any malfunctions or power supply issues. In any case, I'll try everything you both recommend. I don't use IPTV, nor have I installed strange plugins. When I reflashed, I always did a clean install without saving settings. The only plugin added, besides Softcam, is the vhannibal list downloaded via DEP. I'll try, in order, deleting this plugin and using either another list or a manual scan, seeing where it saves the EPG and, if necessary, moving it to the HDD, and using another power supply. Then, gradually, the rest. If anyone could send me a backup for the 900 in the meantime, I'd be very grateful. For now, thanks.

    Good morning, I posted a while ago on this topic without much success, but I was told the problem I was experiencing didn't exist. see post problemi dm900 immagine dream elite DEP

    The main problem, quite annoying, is that when I press the down arrow to bring up the channel list, the list appears but is not immediately interactive for several seconds, so no channels can be selected... then it unlocks and works... furthermore, zapping between channels/bouquets is truly excruciatingly slow. If anyone has the same DE 7.2 configuration, I would ask them to contact me directly in private. I would also ask users not to respond with posts like "it's impossible, that image is very fast", or "you're doing something wrong", or "change the image and put ATV or Openpli" or even "ask on the Dream Elite forum". If anyone has the same decoder/image and is really willing to help me, I ask them to contact me, or if anyone has help or advice to offer, I thank them in advance. I have owned Enigma 1 and 2 decoders for 20 years, I'm not a genius but I have also moderated a couple of satellite forums. I've been assembling and disassembling satellite dishes and buying and installing decoders for friends for years. I've already reflashed the same image three times and changed skins without any resolution. Thanks in advance.

    thanks again peter, but as I wrote yesterday night (see post #14) it wasn't a driver problem, but oscam version problem...some version doesn't support smargo or smartreader; I changed oscam version and smargo work well (anyway ths for the driver)

    ah ok, perfect, so I'll reinstall your Pli 9.X backup on my DM900, extract the driver from there, reinstall DE and put the driver 1-ftdi_sio.ko 2-usbserial.ko

    on lib/module/3.14..../kernel....give permission and restart.

    Hi peter, I know it works well with Openpli. I had a backup of yours, and the reader worked fine with the oscam.server configuration you gave me a while ago. Unfortunately, to use the HDMI-in port on the DM900, I had to switch to a Dream OS-based image, therefore to Dream Elite, because the HDMI-in port on Openpli doesn't work on the DM900. And the Smargo drivers aren't available for the Dream Elite (.deb).
