loaded the file above after 3 hours of trying, (I hate jumping into the unknown), no difference it didn't load the file however I seem to have updated it at some point to a slightly newer build, I added the files suggested too no difference
heres the new log file, I got the webif to work as well and all the other boxes are talking to it (after some experimentation)

regarding the box id, I have read that if you only have a 10 digit serial number (as I do) you add a 0 to the front of it, when I ask sky to confirm my box serial number they added a 2 to the front of it, which works out that you take the first 5 digits and the very last one off the serial number on the bottom of the box
