It turned out to be the image..tried khans image...network connection was fine, trasferred over oscam. all worked a treat.. 2 whole days wasted on the HDMU 11361 build...i just went along with the poll and doubted my own abilities because the poll suggested HDMU is one of the most stable images out there. Maybe i'll give Build 11482 a go...but not anytime soon. Managed to mess up the spark side of things think i need to add the cam configurations again as adding the plugin pack overwrote everything that was on there already which needs to be imporved.

Thanks Puma, it was your comments which edged me to try an alternative image.

Is your network test showing up all fine? my IP address keeps showing unconfirmed. I am even now connecting directly with router. was using power plugs before. I'm stumped. may give the image version you mentioned a try. I haven't got anything but FTA working.

I know internet is working because it's telling me there are two updates available :|

I've got the latest HDMU installed. Transferred the satellite.xml file. it find the 28.2. but for some reason it cannot get the softacam to become active. Using mgcamd 1.35 edited mg_cfg and newcamd.list with the following appearing first CWS_KEEPALIVE = 60 followed by my CW lines below one another. Done services scan. Moved HDMU SoftcamControl.pyo to var/lib/enigma2/python (not sure if that's right, just an educated guess). Only hiccup is the box seems to think I haven't given it an internet connection even though I can access the the plugin list from its server and also ftp to the box as well as http. I have attached screenshots/photos to give a better idea of what I am talking about. 6aa47928714c7c422ed0f0cf.pnge628cf8239.png8bd1bfece.pngd998af78c34f51ef25.pngba7a68efaf52.png31f5abc2.jpg4f644710cf27.jpg530dda5cbf62472.jpg

    What am I doing wrong?

Any direction will be appreciated. This is my first crack at an Enigma2, till now, I have only ever used Enigma1

i have tried a few ..a lot of them are very stable at first, then the bugs begin.... the one that is most updated is the HDMU image...very stable and reliable for shd 8900...plus it has lots of downloadable plugins

i'm struggling to getting this running. Do you have any pointers?

Would like to add, softcam menu within HDMU I can only click the blue button. the softcam is never active :| I can add pics if that helps?

Here is how my camd is set:

    hope this helps?

Help! If I had hair, I'd be pulling it out. I have just got an alien 8900. I'm trying to get up and running by booting on enigma2 (HDMU). To get up and running, I wanted to setup oscam using my n line. Apparently I need to download oscam via plugin menu. Hit menu not visible. Pressed blue button not visible. Went into setup not visible pressed blue button not visible. Tried the same thing with red green yellow. Nothing! Am I missing something?

    Any direction appreciated

    Thanks

You can delete this post, I got the plugin menu simply by reflashing the imsage. Stranger things have happened

Would like to add, softcam menu within HDMU I can only click the blue button. the softcam is never active :| I can add pics if that helps?

can you use mgcamd on HDMU? im trying ever so hard to get this to work. I've put the HDMU softcam control.pyo in to /usr/lib/enigma2/python I'm guessing it goes there because there are other pyo files there.

i'm pretty sure my mg_camd is configured correctly. may someone point me in the right direction please? Using Amniko ALIEN 8900 flashed with the following HDMU_11361_E2_spark_211_git_5519_nodebug_gst_Flash. Another thing I've noticed which shouldn't really be an issue is that the network test shows the IP Address as unconfirmed. I know its working as I can ftp to the box and I can access their plugins list on their server but keep coming across okpg needs to be updated? spark side works fine with mg_camd.

    Someone please help

    Thanks
