xbmc/kodi dummies guide

Hi , first time I have had a receiver like a vu + solo se . I'm bumbling my way through actually getting tv channels on it and the epg . However I am totally stumped trying to get iptv . could someone point me towards a complete dummies guide to setting xbmc/kodi up from the ground up . I literally don't know anything about this box so a dummies guide to a vu+ solo se box would be a help as well . cheers

I have VIX , I assume the latest image as the unit has only been with me since December .

The vix manual covers most things..

For iptv try IPTV Player or m2b (Download iptv lists > FTP .m3u to /tmp, select type as GStreamer, convert and look in bouquets/favorites for the iptv list).

XBMC launcher plugin can be downloaded from the image plugins menu > green button > extensions.

Give this wizard a try, it will install everything you need for xbmc launcher..

hi , I have been messing with this for ages when I can get the tv to myself .... however I'm doing something wrong . I don't get past the add from zip file stage as I don't think anything is downloading . when I click husham as on the video all I get is a scrolling web address there is no zipped folders . Help please I'm a total novice at this kind of system .
