i'm finding it difficult to mount my usb drive for the media player.
When I flashed the DreamboxUK_v2.1.1 image yesterday, it automounted my usb drive and it was there. Now that i've put some movies onto it and popped it back in the usb slot, the media player doesn't show it and It's like it's not there.
Also i've installed CCcam and put my config file in the right place but its still not showing up at all
Any advice welcomed please :)
thanks a lot

You will need to find Mount Manager for that image to mount the usb..
I am not familiar with it so i can't guide you to its where abouts...
You will give it a path of:
/media/usb1
May I ask where you put the CCcam.cfg?
The "/etc" folder?
-
hi, thanks for the mount info.
I put the CCcam config file in the var/etc/ folder -

Also i've installed CCcam and put my config file in the right place but its still not showing up at all
The CCcam.cfg will be in /etc/.
If its not there then extract the attached rar and FTP to /etc/
-
thanks have copied that over and entered te server details in the config
i've started cccam, but its still showing nothing -
Have you checked CCcaminfo to see if CCcam or the card/share is active ?
-
i've checked and it when I check the information regarding server etc. it says 'error reading webpage'
it says that cccam is running but that's it -
Type http://192.168.1.67:16001 into your browser ( changing 192.168.1.67 to your own servers ip address ), tell us what you see.

Looks like there is no c line active, you have added one right ?
-
i've been given an N line which the guy said would work and said if it didnt to use mgcamd, which is also installed, and I checked the guides for installing and configuring that one, and, also nothing
-
Its not active in CCcam, if it was it would show an active server, as for Mgcamd what does it say in the log file.
-
where would I find the log file for mgcamd?
anyone please? I just really need to get this sorted now, i've read numerous tutorials on how to input your config file and where to put it, along with providers etc. and still am getting nowhere
-
Take a look at this tutorial it may help you solve this problem, How to : Mgcamd Config for connecting to CCcam and Newcamd.
Open mg_cfg that is in /usr/keys/ and edit like below, changing 192.168.1.67 to your own servers ip address, log will be in /tmp/mgcamd.log.
Code# Log option, summ of: # 00 off # 01 network udp log # 02 log to console # 04 file, appended ! delete it by yourself, before it eat all your hdd # + IP udp-port log-file-name L: { 02 } 192.168.1.67 28007 /tmp/mgcamd.log
While using CCcam try looking at the info with CS Studio, this tool will show you if the N line is offline or active.

i've just installed the latest VIX team image 2.3 and have installed cccam and mgcamd now, and, am just checking now.
thanks for the link to the program, very helpful. just a quick question... how do I tell if the nline is active or not using that program?
i've edited the line is the config and restarted the cam but nothing as yet*also*
i've put an edited version of the bouquets in /etc/enigma2, which was fine with other images, but all my channels are messed up after scanning, and, transferring my custom edited bouquet list doesn't change anything... is it in a different place for the vix image?
my bouquet list is full of numbers/channels
- acutally I transferred it over and renamed it to favourites and am using that, as the general bouquets are all over the place, so it's a sort of workaround :)still no luck on the cam front though and I know the line is active

Take a look at this thread to make sure you have CCcam installed and activated properly on ViX image.
How to Install CCcam/MGCamd/Others on Duo/Solo/Uno/ET9000/ET5000
If you have CS Studio setup properly, click on servers, you will see information about the n line.

i've checked the thread you lined me to thanks
i've definately got cccam installed, and, have even setup both the config on mgcamd and cccam seperately to try but its not listing anything as running - except the cams -

nothing running
any chance you can guide me through mgcamd config to try that? -
ok i've had a different test line to check and this time it's working in cccam, however its offline"! but at least its showing, so i'm thinking if I can get a little more help configuring the Mgcamd for an N line that would be really helpful thanks
by the way it is usual for it to say this when i'm checking the server:-

or would that be some part of the config i'm missing out on?
