Hi All,
Yesterday i received a gift from a friend, a unknown/non branded/ android stb with twin tuners.
As most of the android boxes, it comes from china and is probably a board placed in a different box (many things do not fit well, extra holes here and there)
The box does not include any tuner software.
The board only mentions Hi3796m_01 Ver1.1
Any help in identification would be great!

Update:
After i resettled the box, it lost some more software.
The friend has a identical box so we did a backup via adb and i restored it on mine.
Apparently something went wrong.
It was giving messages like:
init: untracked pid xxxxx exited
The restore ended, prompt came back but the message kept showing up over the rs232 console.
I rebooted and now all i got is a nice red led and this message in the console:
Bootrom start
Boot from eMMC
Entry usb bootstrap
No found fastboot.bin in host:1
No found fastboot.bin in host:2
Starting fastboot ...
System startup
It does not respond anymore so i think i killed it properly ;)
(there is no separate sdcard, all mem is on the board)
