  • Hi All.

I'm a complete noob to all this and already I've an issue I can't seem to resolve.

I recently purchased the box plus an intenso 320gig Hard drive.
When I start the box without the hard drive connected it boots no problem but as soon as I try to boot with the drive connected it just stalls with boot on the display.
I believe the HDD is EXT3 format so I'm at a loss as to what the issue is.

    Any ideas or help appreciated

  • could be a number of things
first what image are you using
what happens when you plug the drive in after it boots?

it could also be something currupted on the hard drive or id have a guess at crossepg folder or epg.dat is bad, if you can delete them 2 items off your drive

you could also look at crossepg settings and see if its set to load epg from boot, it it is just turn that off, that would see if the epg.dat file is bad

  • It's got the vix4 image as that's what it came with pre-installed.
If I plug the drive in after it boots the box works fine and the usb icon is on the screen but no devices are detected.

Am I right in saying that wouldn't be an image that's supported on the forum?
I know I could probably contact the seller as I only have it two days and it didn't work from the word go but I'd like to figure it out myself if possible as I need to learn how it all works.

I'll try your suggestions when I get home from work and see how that goes. Thanks
