  • ok guys dont ask for much help

but any one had problems with new images on the alien2 triple not the plus

tried the latest openatv as of today and another image that will remane nameless but same problem may also be on other images as well

image loads then gets stuck at 100 the back to 50 and then stuck in loop, tried re downloading image incase it was a bad download but nothing

heard new drivers that only work on the plus

so any one else had this problem

  • I have run a few new images in the last 2 weeks, without problem. but I haven't actually flashed my box in over a year, so if it is a flashing problem, I wouldn't see it...

Do you have a serial console log?

Sent from my A/S10 using Forum Fiend OSP v1.3.3.

  • i spoke to openatv and they did say the last images was broke, this is what they said

Yes. There where build problems with an new commit. This commit was reverted/fixed, the damaged images (19.3.) where deleted, the feed blocked for updates now, and all images are biuld new. Tomorrow all will be fine again. you can restore your backup image. Or use an image from <18.3

but it was just 2 images one was open atv and another by lava, both i believe use the same git or what ever they use,

but by the comments from another forum it looks like they wont be doing images for the older A2 triple ,read the post i posted referance lavatronics,

but to be honest im still on HDMU, i just like to try whats out and about

as for a serial log no i havent

  • I built openatv about a week ago from github sources and it was ok (but only did a quick test.) They are based on oe-alliance, but I don't see any changes there to drivers for alien2.

If you are testing a lot, a serial connection is very helpful. I had an extra serial->network adapter from another project that I am using with my box. They are a little expensive, but makes it much easier than running serial cables. You connect a short serial cable to the adapter and connect the adapter to your network and then it can be accessed from anywhere on your net. (also need to change the default bootargs in your flash environment settings so it uses ttyAS0 instead of the default of ttyAS1. "console=ttyAS0")
