Hello everyone
I've been trying for days to install a compatible version of mgcamd on my (original) DM800, but it seems impossible. I tried the 1.35a-ssl1.0_mipsel, the 1.38c-ssl1.0_mipsel, the 1.38d_openpli_all, versions.
When i try installing the ipk file, it says in the end that the file has been installed, but, after restarting, it's not there. When I try to change cam, mgcamd is not an option.
Can anybody help me on this? My image is openpli 4 (Kernel: 2.6.18, drivers: 2.6.18-7.4-20131228a-r7.0)
Need compatible version of mgcamd for OpenPLI 4 (original) DM800

Thank you master G
Unfortunately, I had the same results as before. I installed the file that you posted, everything seemed OK with installation ( I did not receive any error messages), but then, the mgcamd cannot be found anywhere.
It seems that for some reason it refuses to install -
Extract the attachment > Inside the openpli-mgcamd folder you will see 2 folders, usr & etc. Using an FTP tool send both folders to the root of the image (don`t put them inside any other folder), overwrite existing files if you get a prompt > FTP to /usr/bin and check the permissions on mgcamd is 755 > restart enigma2 then try again from softcam panel..

Thank you again master G
I did what you suggested and yes, mgcamd is on my system now. In fact, I have two versions now: the mgcamd and the mgcamd~. I noticed on your files, both were present (I guess for some reason). Also, I noticed that you've put the configuration files on both, user/keys and tuxbox/config. And even though I've put my C lines on cccamd.list, no channel clears up. Any suggestions? -
Try again with the "mgcamd configs for latest enigma2 receivers.rar" from post #2..
Try starting MGCamd in telnet, if there is a problem it will throw out an error:
The server you use must be using CCcam 2.1.1 and below to get C lines working in MGCamd.. Do you know which version of CCcam is being used ?
If it still doesn`t work use CCcam or OSCam, both softcams have a web-interface which will get you a better idea what the problem may be.. -
I have no idea what version the CCcam server is. With OSCam and CCcam, everything is working. Then, it must be the version of the server if the channels do not clear up with MGCamd.
Anyway, master G thank you very much for your immediate response and the help that you have provided. -
my sugestion ist first to remove mgcamd from your receiver and than try to install oscam 11198 and than put your line via ftp to etc/tuxbos/configuraton. oscam 11198 work perfect.

Thank you tataos. Oscam is already installed and perfectly working. I just wanted to see how mgcamd works.
