vu+ zero remote

If you have the newer vu remote you can program it to do pretty much what you want, or try enabling HDMI CEC on the receiver,

hold down 1+3

type 0000

then hole the tv power (top left) until tv goes off

when it does let go

now press ok +stop

all done

1+6 996

that does reset it back to default

thought i would have to buy a new remote

a few buttons had to be pressed down hard for it to respond

so i did whats on this youtube vid
and fixed with a pencil

now it works like new

its the new shape remote that works on all vu models
and works on most tvs

I just can't understand what the pencil lead does to improve contact. I have
been opening remotes for years now and cleaning the pcb with isopropyl alcohol
to fix this problem,maybe someone can explain please.

i thought thats not going to work a pencil
the wife said the same

so i pulled the thing apart
if you do this when you get to the plastic strip
use a hairdryer on hot to loosen up the glue on the strip then just peel it off

the strip still retains its stickiness so you can stick it back down
it works better now than it ever did

i used a free ikea pencil

saved my self 25 quid
