LNB voltage, how can I turn it up?

    Hi, is there any way to up the voltage going to the LNB.
    I mean if I crack this box open is there a variable resistor in there that I can turn?


    I only ask as I know it isn't kicking out enough voltage.

    No, don't think so. If it's not "kicking" out enough voltage, you may have a power supply issue. Take a look at the capacitors on the secondary side of the psu, see if any look bulged.
    What voltage you getting anyway?

    As far as I remember from months ago it was 13.4 when it should be 18.
    Pretty sure it never got over 13.4 horizontal or vertical.


    Damn it I'm going to have to make sure and test it again. lol
    I'll test the psu while I'm at it.

    Hi, I was wrong, the voltage is ok it's the Transponder that keeps changing to what the open box wants (vertical) and not to any setting that I choose.
    Would this be down to the LNB being junk or is it the Openbox?


    OK, there's something wrong with this forum, I keep trying to post but it edits what I have written previously.
