Hi all,
Please help. I'm trying to set up an edition os mini for a friend.
I have got as far as having tried both versions of mgcamd plugin installed, the config file and n line in the usr/key folder, restarted rebooted the rx. But I can't get anything to clear other than fta.
I'm proper stumped. I tried CCcam but couldn't get the box to recognise the cfg file.
Could it be an image issue? Should I reflash and start again.
Please please any. Help would be great.

MGCamd doesn`t recognise an N line..
You need to remove N: and replace it with CWS =
Place the CWS = line into newcamd.list
Use these configs -> Working MGCamd Configs For Latest Enigma2 Images & Receivers
Which image were you using and where were you sending the CCcam.cfg ? -
Hi Master G,
I have changed the N for CWS ,tried it with a space and without.
I have open vix and i tried to get the CCcam in etc/keys but kept getting no config file error message.- - - Updated - - -
Do i need to have winrar for those files?
-
CCcam.cfg should be in /etc not /etc/keys
You would need winrar to extract a .rar extension..
-
Sorry but i dont really understand what ido with those files once i download them?
do i need win rar for them? where do i extract them to? how do i get them into filezilla? -
Install winrar
Right click on mgcamd configs for latest enigma2 receivers.rar and select "extract to mgcamd configs for latest enigma2 receivers".
Start filezilla and connect to the receiver
On the left panel navigate to the folder you just extracted called mgcamd configs for latest enigma2 receivers
on the right panel navigate to /usr/keys
Add your CWS = line into newcamd.list thats inside mgcamd configs for latest enigma2 receivers folder with notepad++ not normal notepad
Send the mgcamd configs from inside mgcamd configs for latest enigma2 receivers folder to /usr/keys on the receiver
Restart GUI / enigma2
Start / enable Mgcamd from blue button > softcam manager -
done that still not clearing. my cws i deleted all the other text other than the actual line
-
Use CCcam then.
Add the N: line into the CCcam.cfg with notepad++
FTP to /etc
Start CCcam
In a browser go to http://ip.address.of.edision:16001
This CCcam web interface should show you that CCcam is running and whether the N: line / server you use is online and has any cards to offer. -
now tried it keeping all yourtext as well as line.
i can edit with notepad++ but i cant save in that format it reverts to notepad. -
If the configs have .txt on the end the emulators won`t be able to read them.
Try editing the configs while its on the receiver. Right click and choose "view/edit" , select notepad++ as your main program. Then paste in your details and save.
-
the config file is .cfg
NEWCamd is .list -
When using mgcamd you also need to use the mg_cfg file with newcamd.list.
Have you tried CCcam and accessed the web interface ? What do you see ?
-
the line text should just be CWS = server blah blah port etc
- - - Updated - - -
yeah when i send the files i send .cfg file the .list file
- - - Updated - - -
im gonna trymgcamd 1.35a instead of 1.38
-
Send the CCcam.cfg to /etc
Send mg_cfg and newcamd.list to /usr/keys -
nothing. imstumped
- - - Updated - - -
ive not tried cccamyet
- - - Updated - - -
got to be a reason whyMGcam not working
-
It could be a problem with the server you are using. That`s why you should try with a different emulator.. MGCamd doesn`t have a web interface, CCcam does, so try it just to rule out its whether its the server or MGCamd..
-
thing is i have my own xtrend andits all ok .
Tried the CCam iget no config file message -
If you get that message you don`t have the CCcam.cfg in /etc folder.
-
CCcam config file is there between
ca-certificates and e2-git.log -
Then try with oscam instead.
Convert your N line to a [reader] with CCcam2Oscam
Copy / paste / save [reader] into oscam.server file
You can also add the [reader] in the oscam web interface in a browser http://ip.address.of.solo4k:8888
Click on Files tab then oscam.server
Restart oscam after making any changes
The attached ipk has the other oscam files already configured for dvbapi
