Setting up a Virgin Media Card Sharing Server

Hi folks,

After some general information before I take the plunge and purchase a full Virgin Media subscription to card share.
I recently made the mistake of buying the full sky package only to learn that HD movies and sports are no longer working.
Luckily, it hasn't been installed yet so I've been able to cancel it.

I'm now looking towards VM.

Equipment I've bought
Basic PC more than suitable for CS
OmniKey 3121
Openbox V8S

Guides I've followed / Steps I've completed
Installed CCcam and OSCam alongside Ubuntu 16.01

installed the Cardreader which I followed this tutorial for (didn't actually need to do this)

I then was at the point where I needed a boxkey as I had the sky red card but obviously had not received my installation. It was then I found out about the lack of HD/Sports movies. I did have an old white card lying around and from the look of the logs, it looked like everything was setup ok.

Pretending that there wasn't the HD issue, I believe the only thing I needed to do was setup my C-lines and then i'd be good to go. I'm aware that I need to port-forward, setup dynamic dns etc but for arguments sake lets just say that was done.

Now before I sign up to Virgin media, with my current setup,
would I need to do much other than change my oscam config?
Is the omnikey reader suitable for the current VM cards?
Are there issues with HD like there are with Sky?
I'm aware that my openbox is now a doorstop, I was looking in to the Zgemma Start H.2S, is this box suitable?
Is there anything else i've missed out or forgotten?

Sorry for the ridiculous amount of questions, I just really want to make sure i've got all the correct information before I go any further.

You need to extract the rsa key from the chip on the official virgin decoder with specialized programming equipment.. We don`t offer support for this and you won`t find much info on any other forums either..

There is no such thing as card sharing for this card, only pay servers are offering these services..

Do you still want a recommendation for an alternative to openbox ? If so what is your budget ?

you pretty much answered all of my questions!
I've taken a little look in to it and I don't really fancy trying to desolder chips from a cable box.

Ahhh well, I guess that's the end of the road for me, my goal was to set up a HD card sharing server but it seems that's pretty much impossible at the moment.
Thanks for the offer with the box advice, until there's something that I can use to CS though, it's probably not for me.

theres always online to send your stb motherboard to seen a few places othering such serv but there aboard but cant say if good or not tbh
never paid much attention as i have not been involved in vermin for years as well not much given on hw to guides espesh after angel in what not got jailed lol

Send your ligitimate motherboard to an unkown person...loz ye great advice pmsfl
[MENTION=48189]jimmy[/MENTION]... bga chip needs removed and dumped buddy and then the keys have to be extracted...not for the faint hearted but its defo doable

not everyone has access to infrared het stations , as i said b4 i cant say how good or honest as hey wid not send em mine lol
i would borrow the kit tbh :) just dont play no more on vermin stopped long time ago as its now a 10 yr sentence that can be bestrode upon you if im not mistaken lol
but i have heard of folk doing as i said above and had no issues was holand if i mind right they sent to but if you have a old stb certain ones use a shared rsa key and your old boxkey from old white card will stillwork ;)

be like a pace2000 ish cant mind tbh been long time :) but im sure its already been posted on here to in a thread but would have to read all way threw cant mind what one or who posted it but i was done about say 6 moon ago ;)
