You need to enable dev options and then send a now unsupported version of plex to your now tv box over the network from your pc. there are guides and forums with this information.
Just google "PLEX NOW Tv"
You don't add .M3U files from memory, more like adding a plex server via a pin code. most are pay to view £ yearly sub.

plex is getting blocked by now tv with a update and wipes it out

update has been implemented. you can stop it if it hasn't already been done,

then system options
disable network pings
(aparantly this prevents the system auto updating)once updated you loose DEV mode and the ability to side load, it also wipes your plex install.
