Step by Step Tutorial for updating OSCAM on Ubuntu Server 10.04.4 help needed

I am needing help on a step by step tutorial on how to update OSCAM on my Ubuntu Server 10.04.4 as I am a beginner at this stuff.

Thanks master G but I am completely new to this stuff. I am trying to do this myself as the person who has normally done this for me has not got back to me for several days now. I don't know what I am meant to do to in order to get this working. Sorry to be a pain but I need to be walked through this in layman steps any help would be greatly appreciated.

I logged into my server using my username and password but is there a default for the root access? To do the tutorial?

Thought I was cooking with gas there until I hit another stumbling block when typing the wget ss4200.homelinux.com/oscam/simplebuild I get the message wget is not installed to install it type apt-get install wget which I did but it said it was the newest version and did not install anything. Tried again but still nothing any ideas? I am using Ubuntu 10.04
