  • Hi

Does this ipk also work on ARM boxes (I have Octagon SF4008 with OpenATV 6.1). I installed an older version of this via the feed of the image but after reboot of de the box, I can't find the player anywhere ?

  • Hi SSS

I installed E2iPlayer AKA iptvPlayer with the command "wget http://www.iptvplayer.gitlab.io/iptvinstaller.sh -O - | /bin/sh". I got a "IPTV installed succesfull" in the terminal.

    I rebooted the box.

Then I opened the plugin and received many invitations for updates, which I always answered by "Yes".

Then I opened the plugin for the first time and explored it.

Many sources are in Polish and most of the sources I tried got a "no available link" message ???

Only a few sources I already got without the player are worrking, such als Spiegel TV, ARD ...

For the sources which are working, I must choose the lowest resolution (even no 720p), otherwise the pictures stutter.

(Please note that I can play normally M3u8 streams in 720p directly from my enigma2-bouquets).

    Can you help me ?

    - Which parameters should I apply to get the 720p videos stream correctly in the player?

    - Should I update something and what to get more sources with a working link?

I am mostly interested in documentary videos and live streams (in French, Dutch, English and German, but sorry, no Polish :-) )

    Thx !

After this you should make plugin update using Green arrow icon.

Services are split in categories. If you open Polish category then why you surprised that they are Polish?

For example? Please provide example path to video which give you such message. Did you try to open same video from same service in the web browser? E2iPlayer show www address of each service, so it is quite easy to check in the web browser. For example your ISP provider can block some service or some service are geoblocked and, so on. It's hard to guess, but you can easy check in the web browser on PC.

So, please provide example if the video from same service, from same hosting works in the browser but not in the E2iPlayer. If you give me such example then I will be able to check if this is your local problem or global problem which need to be fixed.

    Do you follow me?

    You need to install ffmpeg:

    http://iptvplayer.vline.pl/ffinstall.html

Then restart your E2. Then E2iPlayer will ask you to install exteplayer3 and you will be able to use exteplayer3.

I have to write over and over then exteplayer3 is the only movie player which allow you to have full E2iPlayer functionality.

    You should also install PyCurl:

    http://iptvplayer.vline.pl/pycurlinstall.html

and enable it in the E2iPlayer configuration.

As i wrote. Services are split in categories. If you not interested with Polish service what for you go to Polish category?

    You are really strange person.

    Please watch the video:

I tried to install ffmpeg yesterday but perhaps something went wrong (command fullwget = unknow command).

I tried against today and it went all right.

I will expore the plugin again and test, and then inform you about the missing links. For example, ARTEtv doen'st work in the plugin but works perfect as Hbbtv. And it is not geolocalised. By the wy, geolocalisation is forbidden inside the EU since april this year.

  • Hi,

Updated to 2018.09.25.01 and have a message coming up when i start E2iPlayer saying

"following host are broken or additional python modules are needed. hosttwitchtv_2"

What does this mean and do I need to install something?

    Thanks

  • @calle56

The E2iPlayer update does not have anything with this rather you update your image and this is why you have these problems.

This is not problem of the E2iPlayer but the problem of ffmpeg libraries provided by your E2 distribution.

But this is not big deal.

What you need to do is to install valid ffmpeg libraries compiled with all needed patches.

Here you find the command with which you will be able to install these ffmpeg libraries:

    http://www.iptvplayer.gitlab.io/ffinstall.html

If you want you can also use player with buffering - it helps when your playback is stuttering because of slow download speed.

Active movie player and it mode can be selected under blue button "More" and Set/Change active movie player.

You can use exteplayer3 with buffering but if you do not want to have problems you should install mentioned ffmpeg libraries.

As I wrote manny times to have all functionality you should install:

    ffmpeg libraries:

    http://www.iptvplayer.gitlab.io/ffinstall.html

    and

    PyCurl:

    http://www.iptvplayer.gitlab.io/pycurlinstall.html

This is a project site http://www.iptvplayer.gitlab.io/ where this information are and I think in case of problem you should visit it.

Another thing is valid configuration. After installation of the PyCurl you should enable it in the E2iPlayer configuration.

In case of exteplayer3 there is also some configuration which need to be adjusted.

All these information can be found on this forum.

    PyCurl:

E2iPlayer (aka IPTVPlayer) : speed up covers and www download via PyCurl installation

    ffmpeg exteplayer3:

E2iPlayer (aka IPTVPlayer) : speed up covers and www download via PyCurl installation

It looks to me that the most of users do not know about 90% of the functionality of this plugin.

  • Hello SSS,

I have just started to get a message on e2i player saying "Critical error - cookie cant be saved" it goes on to say something about the "errno structure needs cleaning "/hdd/iptvcache/cookies/.rw_test"

I have checked the storage device attached to my STB and the cookie folder is writable.Apart from the message everything on e2i is working fine.

Not sure what to check next.
