Amiko Alien2 very slow using openatv image help

Hi

I am looking for some help with my amiko alien 2. The box is.constantly slowing down using Open ATV 5.3 image. I only have a few plugins - autobouquets, cache flush, cross epg, and standard openatv plugins.

The box is constantly stalling, particularly on HD channels (these are all FTA HD channels). Oscam works fine but box is just not cutting it like it used to. Slow in changing channels, particularly if I update crossepg.

I used Champs OpenATV 5.1 image with same results. Even the missus has noticed this slowimg down

Anyone have any ideas about this. is the box past capacity to handle newer images?

hi you should add usb and transfert alls your plugins in to it i don't remember the name the plugin let you do it .

try crossepg, it gets bogged down with epg, it keeps adding to it, best to get rid of cross and use epg importer, set it to remove epg every day before it downloads rytec uk, try that

also try a timer reboot as well

as much as i like openatv for looks its slow, you need hdmu or pkt to be honest

hi. thanks for that. i think i was over populating the epg.dat file with too much info. it appears smoother now.

do you have a swap file?
also get a usb and make sure epg etc saved to that
