Need help for CCCam check/restart script - Debian

I have got CCCam running fine on my new Debian-based PC and would now like to add a script to run every few minutes to check that CCCam is running OK and, if not, restart it.

I have seen a few threads about this, but, as I am new to Linux I find it a bit confusing.

Can anyone offer me a script that they know to work OK and explain in fairly straightforward terms how I implement it, please?

CCCam check script ( Replace with the right version which you use)

#!/bin/sh
if ps x |grep -v grep |grep -c CCcam >/dev/null
then
echo "cccam... ok"
else
echo "cccam... restarting"
/emu/cccam/CCcam_2.2.1 &
fi

Put it in /emu/script/ & chmod 755

how do you atend to run this script?

i would sugest to put a line in /etc/crontab

so you can run this script at say 5 min intervall

this line assumes you call the script restart.sh

How can I check if it's running ?
Have no entries in var/log.
I can start it through Telnet but I have problems with cronjobs (GP3,iCVS)
(Have a daily restart script which only initializes if I put the same cronjob with interval of 1 minute)

Stop CCcam with this command, killall -9 CCcam ( rename CCcam to whichever your binary is ), if you have set a cron for the script to run every minute then check CCcaminfo is working after one minute.

You can also try debugging CCcam, /var/log/messages will tell you if the script has restarted CCcam or not.

Add this line to CCcam.cfg to debug CCcam.

Debug=yes already but cannot kill...tried these:

killall- CCcam 2.3.0
killall -9 CCcam_2.3.0

cccam is in usr/bin

I get: "no such command"...also variations I tried did not succeed.

ps ux command shows this:

You are reading the system logs, to see your CCcam log look in directory emu/log.

You should have as both the manual install & autoinstall scripts create it, unless you missed it out when installing.
