As title says just wondering as ive recently had VERMIN installed and there was no card in the STB ,
engineer said its all emulated cards now on the installs. now strange as it might sound i was wondering if the Q does have a card instraled either hidden or
emulated, i was told by someone who inquired about it that they would need to send a engineer around as all cables and dish would be removed as not required now.
seems very doable really on vermin side as there V+ stb have a dedicated 10mg net system but did not think the Q had this so thought i would ask the question
if anyone has took the LEAP OF Q :)

thanx and cables from dish are these changed ? or used as normal ? 2nd stb does this dissapear to ?

Cables remain the same, you can keep a second stb but only if they fit a legacy lnb when doing the sky q install otherwise it's a sky q setup only...

so if i was to upgrade to q i would not be able to use my wetek ect unless i have legacey lnb ?
also would card work in normal way as per redcard tutorials ,ie boxkey gotten ect ect ? clear HD / SD sports / movies ect ect ? -
Yep, you will need them to install a legacy lnb if you want to use a thrid party receiver or sky receiver from your sky dish. Without it only a sky Q box will work.
I haven't seen anyone posting yet that the red card from their sky q box works for sharing etc...

had sky q installed about 3 weeks now with 2 multi rooms and i,m pretty impressed with it, ive a red card in the main box, havent tried it for sharing yet but i just preumed it would share ok, ill give it a try over the weekend
