  • i have just installed oscam and really struggling to set it up.

    all my files are empty i just want to add a line like

    cws = server.com 10001 user pass deskey

    oscam.server file is empty
    oscam.user is empty
    reader is empty

    how do i get it up and running so that they can start decrypting channles on android

    • Official Post

    CWS line becomes a reader. Add the reader into oscam.server.

    Quote

    cws = server.com 10001 user pass deskey

    Code
    [reader]
    label = server
    enable = 1
    protocol = newcamd
    key = deskey
    device = server.com,10001
    user = user
    password = pass
    group = 1

    Try with the attached configs..

  • thanks i have got it working. just wondering. obviously in the "reader" i can understand the port user and pass, why is it that i have to duplicate the port as part of the newcamd protocol in "oscam config".

    i just put any random port in there and it was still working why is that. what is the purpose of defining it. and if i have multiple lines and deskeys then surely the same port and deskey fir that protocol wouldnt work eg.

    [newcamd]
    port = 20100@0603:000000;0604:000000
    key = 4835883366346499466456363444
    mgclient = 1

    so just to make clear whats it for?

  • Hi Master G,
    I have got an n line and I would like to use it to learn and share with my friends.
    I used the configuration you attached here (only port, user, pass changed) but unfortunately it is not working.
    I have installed oscam 11272 with Ubuntu-1604-xenial-64-minimal in a vps.
    The reader (in the webif) status is connected.
    Then I created n line and put into my zgemma box, restarted the mgcamd and the stb.
    But the user status in oscam webif (in vps) shows offline, no image in the tv screen.
    If possible, could anyone please help me out.

    Following are my config files.
    Oscam.config : same as you attached.
    oscam.server

    [reader]

    user = user2
    password = password2
    fallback = 1
    group = 1

    [reader]
    label = reader_bs1
    description = coming from bs
    protocol = newcamd
    device = ******.com,****
    key = 0102030405060708091011121314

    reconnecttimeout = 5
    connectoninit = 1
    caid = 0963
    ident = 0963:000000
    group = 2

    oscam.user (total 6/7 users like below)
    [account]
    disabled = 1
    user = cccam
    pwd = cccam
    au = 1
    group = 1,2

    [account]

    [account]
    user = mkhzsat5

  • I tried to reply before 1 minute but it did not go through. so i am sending again.

    Hi Master G,
    Thank you for your quick response.
    I created a user mkhzsat6 (copied from mkhzsat5 and changed the number).
    Then I added the following line to the zgemma (user > keys).
    ------
    CWS = ********.ch ***** mkhzsat6 ****** 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
    -------------
    Also at the top > CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
    Then I restarted > mgcamd 1.38, stb, network (from the menu > setup > …….)
    I restarted the oscam (in vps) also.
    But nothing happened, same as before.
    Anyway, it started but took 20 minutes (!!!) to start the tv channels.
    Definitely 20 minutes as a starting time is NOT acceptable in any way.
    Must be something wrong in my configs.

    Could you please give me an idea of what I should do.

  • Hi Master G,
    Sorry for not telling you about the mg_cfg early.
    And thank you for sending me the config file.
    I uploaded all the files (including ccamd, though I am not using c line) in the user > keys.
    In the newcamd.list, I put my n line (created from my oscam in vps) at the end and commented out the n line you wrote there.
    The newcamd.list looks like this –

    CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
    CWS_INCOMING_PORT = 21000

    # CWS = 127.0.0.1 10001 linuxsat1 support1 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan

    CWS = ****.ch **** mkhzsat6 **** 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan

    And the first few lines (in comments) on top.

    Then I restarted the mgcamd and stb.
    This time it did not start at all ( I waited for 1 hour this time).
