I've just get my Octagon SF4008, any one knows the login name and password for FTP connection?

The login name will always be root.
There may not be any password.. Depends which image is on it.. -

root

Password is blank / there is no password. -
Enable Samba in network and go through network connections on pc

as i think its got a personal password

Hi, can anybody help, I have problem with FTP connection on my sf8008 ATV ver. 6.4 12.27.20. I know the user should be input as root , also I have my own changed password. On my secend device DM900 haven't any problems. Pleasse help!

First go to box with putty on port 23.
username: root
Write command: passwd
and press enter.
Now write the password what You want - it's invisible, and press enter.
Repeat the password and enter.
Now You can connect via FTP with Your new password.
