  • Hey guys

    I really am a complete newbie so please be gentle and don't assume I understand the first thing you talk about! :biggrin: I also know this is titled a Linux forum but a friend said that the configs are system independant and recommended that I post my Windows OSCAM/ACAMD question to you.... hope thats ok?

    I've tried to run OSCAM and an Omnikey on my 7MC box and whilst the Omnikey/Oscam are working together but I can't get the ACAMD client (in "C:\Program Files (x86)\DVBLogic\DVBLink2\Sources\*** 1\Plugins\acamd" to connect to them and pull the 19 entitlements out.

    I'm soooo confused. I've spent hours reading and experimenting with

    Code
    http://www.avforums.com/forums/home-entertainment-pcs/1553667-***-subscription-channels-n***-hd-s2-5.html

    this thread but no luck.

    I'm sure by now all the config files are very mixed up but let me paste them anyway:

    Cardclient.conf

    Quote

    newcamd:192.168.0.10:15008:1/0963/ffff:User1:User1:0102030405060708091011121314

    oscam.conf

    oscam.user

    The PC's IP is 192.168.0.10. OSCAM is pulling out the 19 entitlements correct and even updated them whilst i was watching! TVSource will happily preview channels in VLC that are not entitlement locked.

    OSCAM log info:

    NEWCAMD part of OSCAM in configuration has the folloiwing:

    Port: 15008@0963:000000
    Serverip:
    Key:0102030405060708091011121314
    Allowed:
    Keepalive: tick
    moclient:

    Maybe the above don't match the client?

    I've also tried the following ACAMD lines:

    Tried the following combo's, with no result:

    Quote

    newcamd:192.168.0.10:15008:1:USER1:USER1:010203040 5060708091011121314

    Quote

    newcamd:192.168.0.10:15008:1:User1:User1:010203040 5060708091011121314

    and just in case the space in the numbers are not supposed to be there:

    Quote

    newcamd:192.168.0.10:15008:1:USER1:USER1:0102030405060708091011121314

    newcamd:192.168.0.10:15008:1:User1:User1:0102030405060708091011121314

    I forgot to mention, i've turned off windows firewall and check the OSCAM logs frequently for connections, none are coming.

    Could it be the version of ACAMD (6.1.something)? Where would I get a newer copy? Don't know how old mine is but its gota be REALLY old.

    Please help this confused old sole...... thanks!!!

  • hi,

    dont know ACAMD but why do you want to use it ?

    btw, you should clean up your oscam config files, all the parameters with = [blank] are not necessary...

    start with something like this in oscam.user :

    Quote

    [account]
    user = USER1
    pwd = USER1
    group = 1
    monlevel = 0

    then you can add more parameters if needed

  • Hi NoSoup

    thanks for the response :)

    To be honest, I really don't care which software I use so if you can recommend something that will plug-in to TVSource to decrypt my *** card, i'll gladly accept!

  • let's stay with your oscam/acamd config

    have you tried to change acamd conf like this :

    Code
    newcamd:localhost:15008:1/0963/ffff:USER1:USER1:0102030405060708091011121314

    maybe there is a log for acamd, so you can see what is wrong ?

  • Thank you for your help!!! I've finaly cracked it :)

    Cardclient.conf

    Quote

    newcamd:192.168.0.10:15008:0/0000/0000:USER1:USER1:0102030405060708091011121314

    OSCAM.CONF

    OSCAM.SERVER

    OSCAM.USER

    Quote

    [account]
    user = USER1
    pwd = USER1
    group = 1
    monlevel = 0

    Configs posted in case it can help someone else in the future :)
