"No Data On Transponder! - Timeout reading PAT".

DM800se HD clone suddenly started giving this statement

The box was not mishandled or moved. The channels give the appropriate signal strengths but even FTA channels will not clear.

I offered up other DM800s and Amiko alien 2s to the sat cable all clear as they should.

I reflashed the box with a variety of images but result the same each time, I also loaded a variety of settings from the plugins and via

Dreamboxedit. I also changed the XML file.......

Sounds like a tuner issue...have you tried reflashing the box

maybe a power issue psu are crap cause allsorts issues swap it with another old router power supply should work ie netgear

Solution

I removed the tuner gave it a good cold blow from the missus hairdryer then replaced same and installed a new Satellite.xml from

http://satellites-xml.eu/ see attachment for my choice and BINGO

An interesting problem sorted, I was thinking the tuner but wouldn't have though to blow it out.
