How do you tell the difference between original and clone openbox / skybox ?

Does someone actually bother to make a clone Openbox? They are ony about £40 anyway, not sure yuo can get them much cheaper.

A copy of junk will be junk.

I have had three, the two genuine boxes had low voltage (10v & 11v) to the LNB which made using a motor a pain.

The copy kicks out 13.5volts which is much better.

One wouldn't receive certain channels no matter what I did to tune them in; the other received them well. Makes me wonder what I'm missing, what's there that I can't see.

They are entry level.
