sim 2.01 bootloader #82 & #84 question

i have been given 2 dm800 clones to update for a friend, 1 has sim 2.01 #84 the other #82

if i use any sim 2.01 #84 patched image with this also update the bootloader to #84 on the #82 box or do i need 2 different images

The image must match whatever SSl / bootloader is on the receiver.

If the receiver has SSL 84, you must flash an SSL 84 image.

If the receiver has SSL 82 and you want to use an SSL 84 image, you must flash the SSL 84 bootloader first, then the image.

You only need to flash the bootloader once, not everytime you change an image.
