it boots without it and not boot with it?
if yes, your hard drive has own power supply (if not your receiver could not handle too much asking power)
if yes, maybe for a reason your receiver looks to boot or to read something from your disk (if you have a backup there or any bootable files...)
-
ok,Iwill have a look.
I have another problem now, I initialised the hard drive and have now lost all files and cant record or play anything on itvplayer

did you reboot after ?? Initialisation formats and mounts the hard drive, so the drive will be blank
-
ok, did that but keeps saying disk full ??
-
What recording path should be on iptv settings ??
-
or you lost the partition in your /hdd, so no partition=no available disc, or your receiver can't read your disc, and just has a /hdd dir in its flash (and has no space...)
-
Do I need to format fat 32 and remount ??
-
i don't know if you need to format it again, but the "lost all files" looks like the receiver does not recognise hdd...
check your mounts and try to find and remount your disc.
but something that i never understood. in the past it was booting with that disc?

ok, thanks for the help, will give it ago
