i need some tutorials about Dreambox DM900 UHD

Hello everyone. i'm new here and i know nothing about Dreambox and Linux-based recievers and anything related to them. however i like computers too much!! (i'm an IT Technician). and because of that someone bought a DM900 UHD and now he wants me to do these things for him:

1- Update the firmware

2- he has bought a cccam account and wants it up and running

3- he wants to edit the channel list

4- maybe install some softcam/plugin/addon or whatever they are called. (finding them is not a problem however installing them ... )

so all i need is, if possible, tutorials on how to do these things so i can give him back his device and get back to what i was doing ie living in piece ! because he is a really bad headache!!

You get this when the tuner isn`t setup and you have no channel list.

Does he have a motorised dish or multi lnb`s ?

i know it's original , i don't know how to check which flavour it is!

i'm downloading the latest openatv and will install it.

multi lnb's with no motor but there is a channel list with Hotbird channels. seller searched the satellite.

master G ok i've done those and uploaded my converted oscam.server file. but i don't have any signal on the reciever. i've set Hotbird on LNB2 (which it is) in advanced mode for Tuner 1 but no signal. right now i don't have any other satellites but the cable is connected through a SAR. what should i do now?

is there a configuration menu for Oscam?

i have to do the rest tomorrow but thanks for your help master G . i learned somethings and that's great

ok i'm back with no success !

i couldn't get any signal although i tested all the settings and when i want to open the Oscam config page in browser, it won't open, in any browser :(

owner of this box is impatient and i am clueless

master G or other members, any suggestions?

edit: forgot to say that i got signal when it is directly connected to lnb without relay. but i have to get signal with relay since the owner is using 3 satellites (2 minutes ago)

and for oscam did you run it on cam manager ?

i don't know. there are many items to configure. i know i didn't do it right

Use satfinder to test the signal. You can find it in service searching.

If you setup Tuner A, check the cable is going into LNB1 connection.

Start oscam from menu > infopanels > softcams or in telnet / putty /usr/bin/oscam

i have to try satfinder.

there is no softcams in infopanel ...
