Hdd initialization problem

If you can disconnect your hdd and plug it into a computer, this tool should format it to ext3 for you:

Reconnect it to your receiver and hopefully it will mount.

Ye that would work like codar has posted, had to do this recently due to a vu (not genuine) box refusing to format the drive no matter what image i flashed, i used a docking station plugged in via usb to my tm reciever and viola.

I seem to remember many moons ago with a dm800 i also had hdd initialization issues with open pli and all i did was install a blackhole image for the dm800 and i was able to format the drive easily,afterwhich i put my preferred open pli back on the box....note this was NOT an official BH image ofcourse, just a modified one i found on the ferrari forum i believe and i cant even remember what sim it was for but this was easily 5 years + ago.
