YouTube Plugin by Taapat DreamOS [*deb]

Hi All,

Installation succesful. When i tray play video a have a massage:

"There was an error in extract video url: Signature extraction failed!" - how i can resolve this problem. Help pls

You have this function.

def _extract_signature_function(self, player_url):

with this regex

r'.*?-(?P<id>[a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)(?:/watch_as3|/html5player(?:-new)?|(?:/[a-z]{2}_[A-Z]{2})?/base)?\.(?P<ext>[a-z]+)$', player_url)

There is a github page for another youtube app that recommends changing that line to

r'.*?-(?P<id>[a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)(?:/[a-z]{2}_[A-Z]{2})?(?:/watch_as3|/html5player(?:-new)?|/base)?\.(?P<ext>[a-z]+)$', player_url)

Give it a whirl and see if it works.

I have attached the amended file. I am in work now though so I haven't tested this.

then restart your gui.

It is a very complicated plugin this with lots of code. I probably haven't got time to determine or even understand what is actually wrong with it.

You may need to wait to see if the author of this plugin fixes it.

I did fix a very similar lightweight youtube plugin last week, if you just want to search and watch youtube videos.

Hi KiddaC , If I'm not a pain in the ass , there's another plugin from the late Kashmir , called Movie Browser , who has the same bug when we try to use its Full HD version ... It resized the rest of the menus ....If it's an easy fix , I'll be very grateful if you can do me this favour , if it's not , then don't bother yourself .
P:S: Kodi is using a "generous" part of the flash memory of my little Vu+solo2 , especially that the latest images are memory consuming , and this plugin is a wonderful alternative .

In the log it is seen that the image gstreamer has problems playing the video stream.
I don't know what is the reason. You may need to install additional gstreamer components from the feed. But it is possible that in image has poor support to gstreamer play network streams.
You can try to get a video link from the log and use it in the terminal using gstreamer playbin with additional log info to find the cause of the problem.
The video link is temporary, so you need to get the link in the log and use it immediately after getting it.
 
But if you solve the gstreamer problem I think you'll get the next.
I'm sure that DreamOS servicemp3 doesn't support the "suburi" parameter and will not be able to play DASHMP4 streams, which is now actively used by youtube.

What to do to exit the video watched.

on my device with dreambox 920 and dreamelite 6.0 software installed.

When playing video, there is already trouble in the exit.

To exit the videos in the public-feed section.
