    Many thanks for help. I have tested it a couple of days now and the problem is solved! Again thank you! :)

    I have also DM 900 , by the way i connected my box using WiFi... cause i have no availability of Line/wired network. Thats why on receovery mode DM failed to show any IP for image installation.

    can anyone help me how i can install a new image to my DM box.

    please guide me to install new image...also guide me the best possible image for DM 900.

    at moment i am using open atv 6.2...

    there is no way to setup an image over wifi

    you should use cable (lan) for this reason


    but if you have BA then you can install all OTHER imges with remote control

    but the first one (Flash Image) needs cable


    best images OE2.5 : merlin+gp3 or Cvs+gps

    best images OE2.0 : Opernatv or Openpli6.2

    how may i know i have original image or not.

    also what are original images that can be installed via BA.

    and lastly if i got the both said before, how can be installed via BA..and where can i find BA in my dm 900.

    if your box is original you can use all the images from OE2 & OE2.5

    but you should install latest unstable original image on your device flash

    after that insert a SD-Card (fat 32 formatted before) to your device

    then install BA as a plugin to your box (post #2)


    after installing BA you can see ba on extensions menu .

    all clear in its menu

    yes my DM is original , i have done dreambox genuinity online test before. it showed exactly the same M.AC adresses.

    i already have 6.2 open atv installed, is it original or not...kindly enlist any specific OE 2.5 or 2.0 image opted for BA installation.

    Sir i would like to know you that, i downloaded BA from your attached file.

    then via dcc i transferred BA extension to var/volatile/tmp.

    file got transferred in open atv image.

    then i tried to install the BA pluigin via remote as below

    blue button/pluigins/IPK Installer.....but no file shown on internel memory neither on external memory.

    i downloaded the latest unstable image for DM 900, my box has only one Flash port which is being occupied by the WiFi stick.

    so for image installation, do i need to dispatch the image to USB/flash in that particular port( WiFi stick owns that), and whats would be the next proceedings....

    if your box is DM-900 you have 2 USB port .

    one is in the back and the other one in the front door.


    1- install latset unstable factory image (Dreamboxupdate.com)

    2-format usb device to fat32 with pc

    3-insert usb flash to dm900

    4-copy barry allen to /tmp

    5-install it.

    when i got unstable factory image to DM, then via ftp/tmp i tranferred the BA extension to box.

    the problem is where i find the BA with the help of dm remote.
