2 openbox s11 freezing on same server

There are 11 replies in this Thread which was already clicked 2,388 times. The last Post () by sync.

    A strange problem I can't seem to get my head around here guys, anyone got any ideas ?


    s*y card read with oscam with dm500, dm500hd & dm800hd connected and working fine
    my mates openbox s11 been connected for a month and no problems
    few days ago i gave n line to another friend and both openboxes freeze together now,
    any one of the 2 openboxes will work on it's own but they will not work together
    both on latest fw that was on them when bought, both boxes using cccam
    all dreamboxes work fine if openboxes connected or not


    anyone seen this problem before ?


    Latest Firmware ? Please give me more details (date, clone firm, original firm, etc..)

    server is oscam 1.10 #6089
    openbox s11 original and ive tried quite a few different firmwares, currently using C2HS2-11-10-10 and 11-12-10
    any one openbox will stay connected, add a 2nd and I get disconnects

    no problems from any other boxes connected, also if I connect them to my csp server I get the same results
    maybe a problem with oscam ?

    I have the same problem now. I put a usb powered hub on my server and the disconnects seemed to not happen so frequently around every 30 mins instead of 10 mins in csp. But still same problem.


    So i put the boxes on static ip instead of dhcp turned to on but still same problem. If you find out the solution please share as its doing my head in. Both boxes on latest firmware aswell both boxes are S11's on same ip. I have tried to different lines on same ip but not fixed so went back to 1 line with max connection 2 on same ip.


    Might try the line as a N line in CCcam client setting instead of mgcamd after the match to see if that fixes it.

    Do the Open boxes have the same mac address, its just a punt as it seems funny that one works ok by itself but not if the other connects ? It's like if two routers with the same mac address connect to virmin the boot eachother off. etc etc

    Huntamick, your on to something there, just checked my 2 openboxes and my 2 mates ones have the same mac addy
    They were all bought from the same guy on ebay
    now to try to change mac addys and see if it works lol

    I've got an image for openboxes with an addon that will allow you to change the mac addy
    Once I've tested it I will upload it here for anyone else that might purchase openboxes with the same mac addy

    yep it will change the mac addy but it looks like a trader image where the only way to edit the CCcam.cfg is to connect to a remote server via ftp or http
    not worth posting it unless it works 100% but if you want to have a go ill email it to you

    the boxes i got from ebay were made by SHENZHEN DVBWORLD TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. and the mac addy started with 00:18:BD


    i've contacted the seller on ebay and if he does not replace the boxes with originals as advertised i will report him for selling clones and start a claim through paypal

    Thanks Sync. Will pm you my email addy. Going to check the mac address now on the site. So do you think the mac address is the issue of both openboxes disconnecting each other?

    I've got 2 openboxes connected to csp and working fine, one here and one at a friends house
    part of the issue was one of my friends had a 2nd openbox I did not know about so both of them on his network were causing his problems
    @djrikstar, image sent but to modify it to allow you to add c lines you would have to export the maincode and add it to a known working firmware
    not enough time on my hands for that lol


    just for the record if any member decides to buy 2 or more openboxes for personal use be sure they have different mac addresses, check with the seller 1st to avoid this happening
